Hotel Villa Favorita

We stayed there in february (I’ve been meaning to write a review for ages now) and it was just a PHENOMENAL stay!!! One of the best hotel experiences we ever had. The front desk staff during the day is just so kind and attentive, the concierge was so helpful, the room is extremely comfortable with an amazing view. The location is just AWESOME!

The breakfast was insanely good as well and we experienced a dinner at Amelia’s which as one can imagine, it was wonderfully delicious and a unique experience.

The only issue I had is that I got sick in the middle of one of the nights (nothing related to the hotel) and I needed some sort of fruit or milk to help soothe my stomach and spike my blood sugar levels (not the first time this has happened so I know how to deal with it). we called the front desk for help as all stores around were closed, all I needed was 1 tiny piece of fruit or a glass of milk since I didn’t have anything to eat in my room, but they said they couldn’t help. I couldn’t quite comprehend since I wouldn’t mind paying whatever they charged me for one piece of fruit I wasn’t asking for a meal. And if they truly wanted to help, I believe anyone could go into the kitchen and grab something, but not even telling them I was throwing up a lot made them create an exception which was a bummer. It was so bad I considered going to a hospital, but I just waited overnight until I could go to the pharmacy in the morning.

The morning staff however was also super helpful when we needed a last minute piece of laundry washed and it was past the laundry deadline!

Overall an amazing stay and I can’t wait to go back!

Villa Favorita delivers an inspiring 5-Star experience in an intimate boutique setting. Look no further. Book Villa Favorita! The service is personal and professional without being stuffy. Our beach facing room with a patio delivered million dollar views of the bay. The room was a touch small, but well appointed and very comfortable. And as for location, the VF is in the middle of everything the old city of San Sebastián has to offer. Oh yes, did I mention the hotel has a two Michelin starred restaurant (the exquisite Amelia) that also prepares the hotel breakfast? Impeccable. We count ourselves privileged to have stayed at both the Villa Favorita and the Maria Christina in our two visits to San Sebastián. We would return to VF without hesitation.

I have had the fortune of travelling a bit in my time and this may be the best hotel experience I have ever had. Location was perfect. Views breathtaking. Room spacious and comfortable.

But the service was what was above and beyond. They were so kind and thoughtful. We felt so welcome. I rarely stay at the same place twice but cannot see myself staying anywhere else in San Sebastian.

Thank you to the whole Villa Favorita team for an amazing time! Truly enjoyed every aspect of staying in this hotel for four days. Started every day with breakfast and the view, such a convenient location to explore, and impeccable service by everyone. We will be back!

Fantastic little hotel - we stayed three nights here and despite the weather being really poor, we had a great time. The rooms are exactly as in the pictures, and the ones with a big window towards the beach are a joy to just sit by and people (and dog) watch. Staff was phenomenal, really helpful for any questions we had. The breakfast room is a bit small but you can get breakfast in the room for no extra charge, we were super happy with that option. Easy parking (extra charge) very close by. Super convenient to walk over to the pinchos area, and a handy guide from the staff. I could keep going, this place really ticks all the boxes, and the staff are the highlight, especially the ones in reception.

Our only complaint is: why not pet friendly? We would love to come back but we find it very difficult to travel without our small dog so unfortunately our next trip to San Sebastian would likely end in a different hotel. :(

This is a very lovely boutique hotel located right on La Concha Bay. Our room was elegantly appointed, and the staff were very courteous. We had a delicious hot breakfast every morning, and we enjoyed walking along the sea wall to the Old City every night. No complaints, only compliments for a well thought out, beautifully constructed, beautifully run hotel. If you like small, boutique hotels that are thoughtfully laid out with nice, helpful staff, you’ll like Hotel Villa Favorita!

This is a very stylish, local boutique hotel situated in the heart of San Sebastian. Perfect location on la Concha, excellent service and our room was beautiful. Highly recommend!

The very Best of San Sebastian Beach! The view the service and the location is unbeatable. Extremely expensive though. Breakfast is a bit weak.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Favorita for our honeymoon. It is truly the most beautiful hotel! The Villa Favorita team made our honeymoon extra special and the service was friendly and professional. I will never forget the view of La Concha Beach from our room. The decor was also stunning and we particularly enjoyed the beautiful hand painted design on the lift.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at Villa Favorita.

The location is second to none, right on the beach. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious, with a Japanese toilet in the bathrooms and a pillow menu. The staff couldn't be nicer and so accommodating.

Breakfast was gorgeous ... at first glance it looks like just continental and lots of charges for extras, but does include freshly prepared eggs and the best yoghurt and granola my brother in law had ever tasted. Trust me when i say you will probably never order the extra options.

Truly beyond anything is this beautiful hotel in San Sebastian. We stayed for 3 nights and from the moment we entered this gorgeous establishment our experience began. We were offered a welcome drink on the balcony overlooking the beach and this started the most divine stay in a hotel anywhere in the world. The rooms had every luxury you could ever imagine with 2 types of block out blinds as well as the most luxurious bathroom you could imagine. The coffee machine made the most delectable coffees before we headed down to breakfast. Breakfast which was included, was the most delightful experience served on exquisite crockery and cutlery. Presented superbly in every way.
Cocktails in the late afternoon and evening came presented in elegant glasses made by an experienced bar tender, while we were seated in a delightfully designed seating area.
The staff, especially the welcoming desk were the most attentive and delightful people (with the inclusion of a recommendation of the most wonderful seafood restaurant literally 50 meters from the front door). Perfection is the only way we can describe our stay as this adult only hotel in the most divine location. Cannot recommend highly enough. Unforgettable experience.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. From the handpainted wallpaper in the elevator to the lovely bar area, the property impressed. We had a "panoramic" room, with a floor to ceiling window overlooking the bay. The decor in the room was lovely as well. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast was amazing. Just can't say enough good things about this hotel, we will definitely return.

Great facilities and friendly staff. Everything about our stay at Hotel Villa Favorita was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Sebastián. We also popped downstairs to the Amelia restaurants - it was the nicest meal we have ever had.

Originally planned to stay three nights but after the first day we added an extra night to stay for four! Great location, close enough to walk to the Old Town within 5-10 mins and we walked from the bus station to the hotel with suitcases with ease. Amazing view of Playa De La Concha from the room. Service from the staff was attentive and personalised. They even let me sit in the bar at 5am to take a personal video call. Genuinely sad to leave Donostia/ San Sebastián and Hotel Villa Favorita.

One note: the water from the shower in our room did run under the shower door onto the bathroom floor a fair bit. To combat it we rolled the spare hand towel up and laid it inside the shower between the door and the bathroom.

Beautiful Hotel right off the beach in San Sebastián. A truly magical experience.

Everything is great - location, room (#1 with a veranda), people, food, drink, and again people. Amelia restaurant of course adds to the attraction. Still this hotel is a gem even without an expensive meal😁 everything is immaculate, without great modern facilities in classical environment. Faultless.

My wife and I just did a 10 day trip to Spain and had this slated for 4 days and right after we got there we added another day. The place is AMAZING. Exceeded expectations in every single way. We have been to top notch hotels world wide and I have to tell you this place is just wonderful. Whether you are looking to make this a stop on a longer trip or a destination for an entire trip you are covered.
I 100% endorse this hotel.

Service was impeccable starting from David who immediately sat us down to check us in right by the beach. Bathroom is well designed and there are multitude of details that make it very comfortable. Although they are fairly small rooms, they have an incredible view and an almost perfect breakfast.
The only downside is that they use the two single beds pushed together that can be very uncomfortable if you are used to comfortable beds.

Great place. Service was great. Bar restaurant was fabulous, burger was best around. Breakfast was amazing. Did I say service? Again fabulous, Daniel in the evening was perfect. I’ll be back.
