Service was excellent, as the employees were all very kind and also helpful.

The ambience is spectacular; I love the entrance of hotel and the lobby. It’s full of life.

So grateful for the free bikes made available by the hotel for the guests. It makes a perfect journey to the city center, which is a 25 minutes walk, but an 8 minutes ride.

Breakfast was excellent, served in a luxurious well decorated hall, and also not crowded at all (as the total number of rooms in the hotel is less than 15, i guess). I specially liked egg Benedict, as well as the nice attitude of the people who served us.

Plenty of dedicated spacious parking places are available right in front of the hotel gate, for only 12 euro per night.

Our room was a bit dark (small window), but the view could more than compensate!

My only negative comment: although there is a decently large safe box in the room, the instruction as how to use it was not available. And it was nearly impossible to figure it out!

We loved it! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. A true boutique hotel. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the hospitality and kindness of the staff. Special thanks to Ane, Virginia, and JM for their attention to detail and for going above and beyond with their help.

Top notch boutique hotel to stay. The staff is excellent as are the amenities. A bit too far out of the centre but at least a welcome and much needed walk after large meals!

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed in. Great location, amazingly spacious and clean rooms with modern and slick decor, polite, friendly staff. This place was a great base for our San Sebastián experience and the free bicycles made traversing the area so much easier. We can’t wait to be back.

One word: phenomenal. Everything was wonderful, from the staff, the room, the details, the bed, the breakfast, the views, everything was above and beyond. My husband and I stayed here in late November with our 18 month old son. Everyone was very accommodating and kind. The location to downtown is a 15 minute walk, but we don’t mind, as we enjoyed to walk while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Very proactive, efficient and friendly staff.
All housekeeping requests were handled quickly.
The whole property is very neat and clean.
Very good quality physical product.
Even the gym is nice and has enough dumbbells to squeeze in a workout.
Lovely authentic breakfast and very cozy breakfast room.
Love that the location is in a more local area and not in the middle of the touristy part of town.

Love everything about San Sebastian and Villa Soro. We were there as a family of three and stayed in the family room. The room was immaculate and had good quality beddings. We took advantage of the bikes provided to go to the Gondola. Breakfast was delightful. We actually look forward to sitting in the breakfast room because it was so classy and tranquil. Service is one of the best: one day the housekeeping forgot to replace a bathmat and upon mentioning, a new one was dispatched almost immediately; same with a request for an iron. The bartender is animated, friendly and attentive. The hotel location is 10 minute walk from the centre of town, it wasn't a big deal for us but maybe a bit far for some. I hope to return.

This hotel is a dream. We are here for a landmark birthday break and booked this hotel a few months ago. We have a garden room in the old stable block. The decor in our room is spectacular. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Love it!

Eventhough we didn’t choose our room wisely and we missed a bit of the daylight at the minus floor, the overall experience was amazing. Very nice staff - both at the reception and the restaurant. The whole hotel is very chic, great choice of bath gels, little sweets every night. To the city center of San Sebastián it’s 10 mins by foot. Perfect, can’t wait to come back.

Hotel Villa Soro is extraordinary. We eloped in San Sebastián and couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay. The property is beautiful with great attention to detail in its stunning exterior and interior design. The lobby, sitting room and bar/restaurant were gorgeous.

The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and quiet. It is a little ways away from the heart of the downtown area. This adds to its charm. It’s a 15-20 min walk through a local neighborhood into town, and bikes are made available to use—and bikes are a great way to explore the city! We had planned to get married near the sea, but it was raining heavily on our day. The hotel staff helped us set up in the unused dining room to conduct our simple, small ceremony. It was magnificent. And the staff was absolutely remarkable and really made our wedding day.

Pablo from reception was warm, kind and very attentive throughout our four-night stay. Gorka from reception was also very kind and helpful. Both helped accommodate us and made us feel special throughout our elopement week stay. Juan Mari (JM) from the bar was an amazing help during our nuptials. His positivity, generosity and kindheartedness know no bounds. He and Pablo went out of their way to help us rearrange our nuptials due to the rain and we are forever grateful 🙏🏻.

This was one of the best hotel stays of our lives—truly unforgettable and perfect in every way for our wedding week. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel, with incredibly kind staff. We enjoyed breakfast every morning, and made use of the available bikes, umbrellas, and beach towels all during our stay. Highly recommend if you are visiting.

Beautiful boutique hotel with incredible attention to detail and a gorgeous combination of modern and traditional interior design. We stayed here for a couple of nights on our honeymoon in one of the modern garden rooms and loved our stay. It is peaceful and relaxing, as well as conveniently located (walking distance from both beaches and Old Town). Comfortable beds, well appointed rooms, and a delicious breakfast. The hotel staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we return to San Sebastian!

Super hotel! very nice rooms! but the biggest minus for us is that the bar closes at 23:00 and no one warns about it, it will be good to make an honesty bar system in this hotel or have an alcoholic mini bar in the room, because there are no bars around the hotel. Thank you Virginia , you are the best ❤

Beautiful boutique hotel with spacious rooms and excellent service! The neighborhood is super quiet at night so we got a wonderful night's sleep and it's only a 15 min walk from the old center. Parking is included, which is hard to find in San Sebastian. Well be back!

We had a three night stay here and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is gorgeous, beautifully designed both interior and exterior. Our room (in the stables) was very large, great bathroom, and a massive bed that was incredibly comfortable. The team there was super helpful, friendly, and accomodating. The phrase I used to my husband was "discreet but attentive" which is an artform which they nailed. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to a lot of the restaurants in Gros, and also to the beach there. Gros is a cool area, with a laid back vibe and is less crowded, feels more local. The walk to old town is about 20 minutes, which frankly we welcomed as it allowed us to walk off all of our eating! It's a very easy walk, flat roads and wide pavements. To La Concha it's about 25 minutes. The hotel also has bikes which we used, and that makes the distance shorter and cycle lanes are easy and clearly marked. Plenty of places to lock up the bikes as well. Breakfast was pretty good- pastries/fruits/cereals/yogurt/cheese/cold cut self served and cooked eggs made to order. We also used the gym and it was small but totally efficient and did what we needed it to. Parking was easy and secure.

If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the wifi is not secure, and they really should be using a private connection with a password. Because if the open connection, I wasn't able to use the wifi at all which is fine as I was on holiday and not working or on my phone too much, but do recommend they step it up a bit with a wifi password etc (I work in cyber security so am particularly conscious of this)

We are both pretty well travelled and discerning and were geniunely so happy with our stay, we'd wholeheartedly recommend and will definetely return.

Fabulous Hotel. My room was beautiful, clean and the products like hand cream, body wash, etc are exquisite. The staff was very kind and attentive. The breakfast was delicious. I recommend this hotel 100%. Great location.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in with excellent service, very helpful and friendly staff. If you don’t want to eat out late in the town you can have small meals in their restaurant. They also give you bikes to go into and around town.

Highlight of our trip to Spain! Villa Soro is an incredible property - fantastic and friendly staff, stunning rooms with a lot of local character, delicious breakfast, and in a great location. We especially loved taking the Villa’s bikes out for a fun morning ride along the boardwalks. We will definitely be returning!
