La Lonja del Mar

It's really a seafood restaurant, but I was in the mood for a burger. Wasn't the best I'd had but meat was high quality and fries were really nice. Given a bowl of nuts when seated at the table. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Wine by the glass was decent. The location and view are very relaxing compared to most of the city with great outdoor seating. An artist was painting the area while I ate lunch.

🦐 We were recommending to come here from our Concierge at the hotel as we were in the mood for seafood.

🦐 We are visiting from Texas and a word of advice, dinner is served late here. We got here at 8:10 pm and they were just opened and don’t even have their first guest yet, so come later.

🦐 We ordered the clams, shrimp, prawns, fish, and octopus. Our server was exceptional and service was top notch. We were the only one at the restaurant until around 9:30pm.

🦐 Really loved how fresh and how correct the shrimp and prawns came out. Some may say that it’s undercooked but this is how shrimp suppose to be like. Not well done. The clams were cooked right in front of us on a stove with all the ingredients and serve hot with a garlic wine sauce.

🦐 Overall I loved how gorgeous the view overlooking the jardin and palace. The service was perfect, every plate was delicious, and the ambience was cozy, intimate, and peaceful. Highly recommended 5/5 🌟

A fantastic dinner!
Great treating from the waiters, they had attention and had good humour and smile!
The shellfish was super tasty, pulpo had great flavours and texture.
And the view on the opera is stunning.

We loved the location right beneath the royal palace. The restaurant is part of a gastronomic trias of restaurant taverna and bar. Fresh and lovely fish and seafood were well prepared and delicious. We enjoyed oysters and different shrimps and gambas to taste a perfectly cooked beef in madeira-pepper sauce. Desserts (chocolate cake and creme brulee) were perfect, as the wine was. Thanks for a lovely last night in Madrid.

Went to La Lonja at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel and had a great experience! Loved being able to select our own seafood - the calms were flambéd right in front of us. Each dish was expertly prepared and dessert was delicious.

Would definitely come again.

Beautiful views of the palace at this terrace offering a strong and reasonably priced wine selection. The service was outstanding from the chef, the manager to our waiter who were quite attentive. The zamburiñas are to die for...and the arroces delicious - Arroz de Banda my favorite one. Slightly more pricey than other venues but it's worth it for the authentic food in a gorgeous venue.

We came on a Sunday night in January with a reservation. The staff we worked with were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They brought the fresh fish out for us to view and make a selection from. The food was excellent and we had a wonderful view of the palace from the second floor at night. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

Loved our dinner here. Table and view were great. Service was perfect. Food was delicious. A definite go to when visiting Madrid.

Delicious food with a fabulous view of the most well preserved Royal Place in Europe. A taste of the sea with an iconic view. The Paella was delicious with lots of flavours and freshly made. I also recommend starting with the croquetas or calamari, but many of the other things on the menu looked delicious as well.

Had an amazing over the cena tonight with a great view of the palace. (Note - this is for the inside formal menu - not the outside café menu).

Started with a tomato burrata salad (which doesn’t sound Spanish but had carpaccio of valenciano tomatoes that were perfect ) and then shrimp ala plancha. the giant red prawns in champagne sauce with fried garlic was perfect (best dish). Baccalo pil pil was very good. Finished with Torrijas which was good and accompanied by helado de Cabral which was Awesome.

Overall a pleasant surprise. We arrived at our hotel late in it evening, and got this recommendation from the concierge. As we walked there, we were expected a tourist trap but in the end, it a pretty good. The octopus tentacles and the paella are recommended. I'd normally give it a 4 star but it exceeded expectations.

Really good experience at La Lonja. Service was great and the food was perfect. The specials are definitely a must try and the desserts didn't disappoint at all. The Ceviche was a bit too small for the price but it was marvelously cooked. Rape was the star for us.

Really good! Fish was insane

Food was really nice and the price was reasonable. We have tried the black rice with baby squid and the red shrimps. It taste really good and fresh. Would definitely come if I visit Madrid in the future! Thanks to Gonzalo about his good reception and kind introduction to the delicious food!

Best view of the Royal Palace and next to the royal theater. The outside patio is a Cousy version of the inside restaurant with more fast food options, but the service is first class. From the host to the busser, everyone smiles and interacts with you nicely. We order a litter of “tinto se verano” which was very good, ham croquettes with “jamón ibérico” which were amazing (we ended up ordering a second order), fried calamari “a la Andalusia” and a burger. If you have walked for miles and miles and end your day looking at the sunset on the castle, I highly recommend you to finish your day at la lonja, they will treat you at home and make your night (or day) a great one.

An impressive selection of seafood. We enjoyed iberico, razor clams, sea bass and cheesecake.

A massive great gem! We were joining a family dinner at La Lonja del Mar and it was outstanding in all aspects! The location, the service and the food were completely amazing, all together was a cult, from oysters to Paellas, completely amazing.
We could meet the owner Carlos and the Chefs which deservedly a two Michelin stars, a really wow! Because it is a two M stars restaurant. The winery was full of references from whites to reds and the staff was very dedicated, like a five stars GL hotel . The location is 10 meters to the Opera house and this the place to create memories, a good ones! Go there and just let it go! De Madrid al Cielo!

This is an amazing place to eat - the food, the service and the views were top notch. Shout out to our server Dalia who was informative, efficient and welcoming. The shrimp scampi was amazing as was the Belondrade wine. Was magical sitting outside on a pleasant September evening with the Palacio Real to our right and the opera house to our left. We could even hear both male and female opera singers in the background. Sipping wine, eating great food as evening and night rolled in and artistic lighting slowly amplified the magnificent architecture of the historic buildings around us. Extra point to consider- the inside of this restaurant is equally impressive with a warm and welcoming bar and taverna and extraordinarily beautiful and private upstairs restaurant.

Great food! Everything is really tasty. I recommend the vichyssoise de hinojo con anchoa marinada, el esturión con colmenillas y salsa de foie!the service is really good!the restaurant is located in the center, next to the Royal palace and you have good views as well.
