We were here twice in the taverna. It was delicious. great tapa, unusual flavors. delicious desserts and shrimp salad. The decor and service also deserve positive opinions. A must-see during your visit to Toledo

Very nice restaurant with very cool atmosphere and excellent service. We had a big meal with lots of tasty appetizers and delicious mains. The cave aspect was really cool. Some old foundations are visible through glass floors. Food was fantastic, and our waiter was excellent.

Great service and great food. Although the kitchen was closing the staff were very kind and made sure to try and get us some food. The environment is very cool and they have a wine cellar underground.

Very nice selection of wine. A good selection of very interesting tapas. Loved the cannelloni with deer. Service was also excellent. Great way to end a half day in Toledo. Need to make a reservation if you want to be seated in the Caves. See-through floor allows views of the Caves.

The place has a really fine environment, looking like a tavern, and I just got in because they had vegetarian options. I got the burger with beyond meat and it was amazing!! The food from other tables were looking fine as well

We have visited La Cave for lunch after a wonderful tour of Toledo. Greated by very friendly staff, they have found us a lovely table even though we didn't have a reservation and the place was quite busy. Menu selection was very authentic, few unique and delicious choices at reasonable price. Service was impeccable and we had thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

It’s very rare I give all 5 stars but this place earned it.
The location is off the beaten path but the ambiance is well worthwhile. I see why it’s named La Cave. If you drive here there are two to three parking garages within 3 blocks of the restaurant that are decently priced.
The upstairs is a tavern and the downstairs is the restaurant.
Our server was Fede who provided outstanding service. His English was 5 times better than my Spanish.
When we ordered he actually made the comment he thought it was too much food. I didn’t know if I should have thanked him or been offended. 😂
The tomato and jamon salad was perfectly prepared and tasty.
The beef tataki was very flavorful and absolutely delicious.
The tuna tataki with tuna tartar was good. The tartar was a bit fatty but the tuna tataki was delicious.
The t bone was cut for us which made eating super easy because I never order meat on the bone.
The marzipan dessert was very decadent and went well with our cafe’.
I would definitely come back here if I visited again and highly recommend this as a must-try!

Simple fantastic! Service, food and ambiance were top notch. We had the octopus, the steak, lamb & sheep everything was delicious. Dessert was the cherry on the cake with a Tiramisu beautifully presented and a decadent marzipan. Great wine and superb service. Thanks for accommodating my vegetarian needs!

Visiting from the United States and our local guide recommended La Cave to us. What a great experience. Very inventive tapas selection and helpful staff. We had the quail egg on crispy rice noodles, the bao bun, and the croquettes. So tasty, and the beer and wine selection was great. Check out the glass floor to see the city walls and wine cellar.

Beautiful place, amazingly preserved stone walls. The food is really genuine and well portioned. Good house wine and service is attentive and polite. Definitely to go back. Better reserve ahead as it’s very popular.

Great, everything great. The patatas bravas were from a different planet, the meat was fantastic! Everything was great. The Sangria was also very good. The meat skewer was so unique and tasty as well. AND the service was very fast, at least the day we were there! Highly recommended. We’re fans of El Trébol, this comes close to matching it!

We (a couple) found this restaurant on Internet: close to our hotel and open Monday night. We booked on-line, but probably you may take the chance by showing up. The restaurant has a first floor cafe and a calm restaurant in the ancient basement. The waiter was friendly, attentive and explained nice to know. It was a really good restaurant and fair price to the high quality food you get. We shared the first 4-tapas plate, then each a tuna prepared in two variations, a mazepan dessert, coffee, beer, white wine (Rueda), brandy, sloe licor (paxaran), and paid 88 €, which was a fair price.
We strongly recommed this place!

Hidden gem. My favourites are the tiramisu in a cup (unravelling process is super cute and fun) and the well-seasoned beef skewers, though a little saltish, acts as an enhanced rather than cover the flavour of the meat. Attentive and friendly staff. Nice ambience as well!

I am a tourist from Hong Kong. My girlfriend and I had a train to catch in an hour. After we told the staff that we were in a hurry, they sped up the dishes significantly. We made it to the train on time due to their hard effort. The staff kept their polite and professional attitude throughout our dining experience despite our unexpected demand. The food we had were the tapas with the egg, the one with the beef steak, and the one with the black waffle (sorry for not remembering the names). The food were absolutely delicious and I would definitely order again if we had the time. The Sangria was also stunning. I was not a tourist that write comments and reviews for reataurants that often. However, this restaurant really impressed me with its unparalleled serving attitude, food quality and dining experience. It was also at a convenient location, just near the "city-sightseeing bus" stop. Super easy to find. I would sincerely recommend this reataurant for everyone. If you are the staff working at this restaurant on 19/6/2024, and that you are reading this comment, I want to say thank you, and your cheesecake really slays! Gracias!

Very nice little spot with cozy atmosphere in the basement. We had the venison hamburger which was super tender and flavourful as well as the fried calamari over potato waffle starter and that was a real highlight, it was truly incredible! Good and attentive service as well, highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow.. I am so impressed! They provided delicious food and excellent wine in a beautiful ambiance. Fede was an excellent server and most accommodating to my complicated requests requiring all of my tapas and entrees are gluten free.

I highly recommend the cheese board, the salmon, the goat ribs and the verdejo. It was a perfect pairing and one of the best meals I have ever experienced! I rearranged my entire road trip around southern Spain to accommodate time to return to this restaurant, and ended up eating here both lunch and dinner several days in a row because everything on the menu was mind blowing! And this is coming from the perspective of a mega foodie that travels the world and lives to find the best restaurants everywhere. Mark your map and plan your trip, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing food and drinks. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was patient with us regarding our limited Spanish. Their restaurant itself is so interesting because the wine cellar and main dining is in an old cistern I believe. I would call ahead if you are planning a trip because the seating seemed limited.

Prawn salad was delicious. It as beautifully fresh - and different because it came with fresh fruits. My husband had a venison hamburger- equally scrummy. Lovely welcome by easy staff. Btw, house Rioja was also just right.
