Good People Surf

Loved our visit to Good People Surf! The staff was super helpful with getting my 6 year-old beginner surfer a wetsuit and board that would work for him. We bought a ton of gear (sweatshirts, t shirts for friends back home) there as well. Really nice people and short walk to the Zarautz beach.

Luigi was was a great surf instructor. Not only did he help me as a beginner to get the basics down, but he also taught me about looking at surf forecasts so I can continue to learn to surf. This lesson was the highlight of my trip to the Basque Country.

I had a weekend of surfing with Good People Surf and they were all great. Albert was our instructor and you could tell he was so passionate about teaching and surf. I had surf lessons before but I learnt loads more and I was even brave and trusting enough to go deeper into the sea for the first time (something I was so scared of doing before). So thanks a lot for the experience and 100% recommend!! :)

Had my first surfing class at Good people surf. It was an amazing experience. Paco was a very good teacher. He took the time to explain the waves, the surfing technique and he gave a heads up for dangerous situations. In the water he was able to divide his attention to all the students. I felt safe and I was able to stand on the board many times. Great feeling! will definitely book a class again soon.

What a great guy, very friendly and thoughtful. Helped us pick the right boards, suits, gave us additional wax and nice stickers when we left.

We really enjoyed our surf lesson with the great staff of Good People Surf. We were in a small group which meant that everyone could get the help they needed. After the lesson we were even allowed to practice some more on our own. Nothing but good words for these people, if you want to go for a surf lesson I would definitely recommend the Good People Surf!

Paulo is a great instructor. Very friendly team and well spoken in English. Would highly recommend when visiting. My 6 year old boy took part in the younger lessons and loved it.

Super fun! If you want to try surfing Good people surf is the place to start. The people there are warm and friendly and the instructors are very very good.
The instructor knows the ocean and gives tips and things to remember to each surfer. One of the best experiences!

We were trying surfing for the first time and we couldn't choose a better surf school. Staff generally was very friendly, coaches great and also compared to other schools the price was very good. We sure hope to come back next year.

Relly good customer service, broad variety of surfboards, good material and good prices. The people are really nice and help you with everything you need.

Great surf lessons with Noah, who is very observant & thoughtful, & finds right away the issues with our positions/techniques and corrects them. Highly recommend.

Great experience with surf board and wet suit hire as well as advice on the conditions. Friendly and really accommodating. Highly recommend hiring. It is a short 5 min walk from the beach and conveniently placed next to Zarautz Hostel. Great community !

We were recommended by a friend and had the most outstanding week. Together with a friend and my 13yr old daughter we took 2 lessons (we had one lesson on a prior trip) and rented gear with Good People the rest of the week. The lessons were superb and the instructors were perfect.
The name is defenitely chosen very well! The crew is so lovely.
What I also noticed is how good instructors are with kids. My daughter felt really safe and was guided through difficulty with a lot of understanding and enthousiasm.
As we spent many hours a day in the water, we progressed very nicely. The owner helped us with finding the best boards to progress on and this was a great experience.
The lesson started with a 10 minute theory on how waves form and how to spot them. This was so valuable all week, as it helped to find the best surfspots.
We are planning to return in october or november, as waves are often superb in that time.

Paulo and Yoannes were great friendly surf teachers gave us great pointers and advice in surfing on Zarautz Beach. The store is great with a changing and shower area. Rental for boards and wetsuit were a decent price.

My boyfriend and I learnt to surf with Good People Surf for a few days, and we had a brilliant time. The staff are wonderful and great teachers, we had a great time with them!

The people are really nice! And the prices are fine too. Thanks for the good time!

These guys are VERY GOOD PEOPLE, actually: If you're looking for friendly and patient surf instructors you don't have to search any longer. Go for Good People Surf! Besides that the guys run a great surfshop downtown that's worth having a closer look. Thank you for everything – I'm glad I've found you in Zarautz!
