It‘s Only Water

Big thanks to Coko and Riki for a very fun and insightful longboard week. Both have a very humble and empathetic approach to coaching. Even though our group was beginner/intermediate level we got encouraged to try cross-stepping and took home a lot of longboarding knowledge, which was very fun! No matter if you have little experience or are already intermediate, they adapt the input to your needs. Also, it was very nice to try high quality logs from different shapers. Super happy about the week, hope to come back 🫶🏽

I attended the Longboard Days and enjoyed every single minute!! 🤩 Coko & the team always tried to find the best conditions for us, even if it meant modifying or postponing the original surf program when conditions were too dangerous or just not good enough. The tips in and out of the water were very helpful, and the atmosphere was super motivating. You simply feel comfortable and safe at It's Only Water. Thank you Coko for the incredible time and the genuine passion you pour into your work. 💙🌊

I am forever grateful for this unforgettable water/creative photography retreat in Siargao. Everything was beyond my expectations! To me, this is the kick I needed at this time in my photography career, as I am leaving the retreat extra motivated thanks to Paula and Coke. I joined the water photography workshop and stayed at the beautiful studio in April ‘22. Coko is a fantastic photographer and transmitted his knowledge and passion for surf photography in a unique way. The workshop offers lots of practical guidance and information about this challenging, yet so magical way of creating images.

I recommend this workshop to every person that loves to be in the ocean and get creative, for both beginners and professional photographers with a desire to challenge themselves and get inspired. 📷

I joined the longboard days with It’s Only Water and can only recommend it! Coko has several years of experience with surfing and his coaching is very high quality and informative. He’s very friendly, chill and passionate about longboarding. He instantly gives feedback in the water. He’s the best surfing coach I’ve experienced.

The IOW studio’s longboards are all handshaped by different shapers. Normally these are very hard to find in surf shops. I was very content that I was able to try different longboards and fins.

I learned a lot in this week and I’m very very happy that I could improve my surfing skills. I hope that I will be able to join one of the retreats with IOW again!

I did a water photography workshop with it's only water and I absolutely loved it.
Everything was well organized: from the theoretical part at the studio to the session in the water.
It was really nice shooting in the water also because the other group has a longboard workshop and I had the chance to take super nice pictures.
I really appreciated the analysis few days after the workshop when I went through my edited pictures with Ivan that gave me super nice tips.
Overall has been one of the best workshop I have ever done. I really admire the passion behind the project and the way Ivan and Coko communicate and teach the love for photography and surf.
Looking forward to taking part in another worskhop :)

Coke, Jon and Carlota were the absolute best in the Morocco Longboard Camp 💕✨🧚🏼‍♀ The photos that Coke made are fabulous and make me miss the camp every day and the advise for my surfing I got in the water has helped me so much 🤍 The atmosphere was absolutely great with the other participants, the surf- team, and the O Experience staff; I definitely recommend!

I had the privilege of doing one of It’s Only Water’s water photography workshops with Ivan in September, and it was the most amazing experience!! Ivan was so helpful and supportive, he explained everything super well before we got in the water and made me feel safe throughout the whole shoot in the water. I was then able to get feedback on some of my photos on a follow-up zoom call, which rounded off the workshop beautifully. As someone who takes a lot of surf photos, it was very cool to get to experience a new angle and be amongst the surfers with a camera.

Last year I surprised myself with a water photography workshop done by It's Only Water which I attended this september - and I'm glad I did! I learned so much - Ivan is very knowledgeable about the whole process, shared everything he knew and tried everything to make me feel belonging even though I was quite anxious as I'm not a surfer and did not grow up next to the ocean. I talked to Coko when I was booking the course and they are both truly kind people whom I can only recommend for anyone to have this experience with! :) I hope to go again someday to learn more! :)

As I was solo traveling through Spain, I signed up for the water photography workshop at IOW to combine my love for photography and surfing - it couldn't have been a better experience ! To calm down and explore the region a bit more, I stayed two nights at the studio and felt more than welcomed. Thank you Coko and Paula for making me feel at home in your place!
The workshop is well built, even for beginners in photography, in three parts : one part of theory, tips and inspiration beforehand, then the water part (where you are guided in your position and given tips on the light- and wave situation) and a conclusion reviewing the final photos with honest tips and analysis of your work. I loved to be inspired by Coko's passion for photography and small, creative moments, he gave me a lot of tips and encouraged me to keep going this way of photography. He transmitted his knowledge in a very good way, explained the choice and right use of equipment and made sure I understood everything.
I would recommend the workshop to anyone that loves being in the water, surf and photography, if you're a beginner or not ! It combines both (important) theory and a lot of praxis and is a really valuable experience if you're exploring the area and south of Spain. (For me it was even worth it traveling from far away).

And by the way, don't forget to stop by in the studio, they have a lot of nice prints, illustrations and clothing :-)

The longboard retreat was great. Coke and Valentin gave everything for an unforgettable week. It is a pure pleasure to watch and listen to them teach you longboarding with the greatest passion. I am already looking forward to the next workshop I will attend.

I had a really great lesson from Coko. Learned so much about longboard surfing and he has beautiful boards to rent. It's great to see how much passion he has for classic longboard surfing and it is very contagious! Coko is super welcoming and has many tips for the area! Very nice place, chill vibes and definitely recommended.

Aina, a photographer with this studio, came out for a surf lesson me and my friends did with A Frame in El Palmar. She captured some really immaculate, beautiful moments of us on surfboards for the very first time! It was truly amazing work!

I could not have asked for a better introduction to surf photography than ItsOnlyWater. The workshop is for all levels, professionals, mid grade, beginner. The team is welcoming and passionate about what they do which makes for an exceptional experience. Ivan taught us about the camera, the housing, position in the water, tips/tricks, etc. - then we took all we were taught and put it to the test. (:
We were fortunate to have perfect conditions for photos and a great group out on the water with us. I would recommend ItsOnlyWater Workshop to anyone and if you’re ever in the Conil area, definitely stop by their studio! Xx, Taylor

Just finished an another amazing longboard retreat in Morocco.
The people, the accommodation and the log/theory workshops with professional teachers were amazing. A lot of experiences, advices and moments shared together.

I took part to the Water Photography Workshop in October and I would do it again a hundred times!
Ivan explained everything thoroughly before going to the water and once in the ocean the experience was just great.
Totally recommend.
Plus the studio is really cool

The best retreat ever ❤ the whole experience was incredible. The location was perfect with beautiful landscape and amazing surfers&models that made every picture look beautiful. The group was great, diverse and with a collaborative vibe and a lot to share and learn together.
