Original Sokos Hotel Puijonsarvi

Situated in the center of Kuopio, right by the cathedral. The service was very good. The rooms were not to my liking, they had industrial/pagan feel to them, a lot of dark and bronze - I prefer a bit more light rooms.

I love the room in the wooden part of the hotel, so nice deco and garden/church view from the lovely tall window. I recommend! Breakfast is good as always, it would be great if kukko also has a vege option!

If you visit Kuopio over night and want very nice place to stay, choose this hotel. Clean rooms, good food. What suprise me was local special food: kalakukko. Was on breakfast table! Thank you very much, it taste so good!

A cozy hotel in a great location consisting of two tunnel-connected buildings. The room was clean as well as the hotel itself. The WiFi worked without problems, and the bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was coolish and I did not touch it because I prefer it that way. The breakfast was above average in quality in my opinion, because in addition to the common hotel breakfast items local food "kalakukko" was served. In short: clean room, friendly staff, comfy bed, breakfast with "kalakukko". Highly recommended!

Nice rooms after renovation, nearby Lake Saimaa and Kuopio harbor which is cosy at summertime.
