Lapland Hotels Kuopio

This is a great hotel to stay in Lapland Kuopio, Finland. It's also an excellent place to observe the aurora from late August to early April. However, I recently learned that coming to Northern Europe does not guarantee you will see the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora during our overnight stay here in Kuopio. Breakfast was very good. (oops I made a mistake. I saw the auroras in Rovaniemi)

Lovely breakfast buffet with omelet station and amazing local foods. Definitely try the porridge! The bar serves locally made glögi, which is a lovely way to relax at the end of the day by the lobby's fireplace.

Extrodinarily homely hotel, where I've always felt like coming home. Staff is so kind, friendly and helpful that they've often felt like friends who genuinely want to help you because you're friends rather than staff that serve you. True savonian hospitality and sense of humour at its absolute best. Thank you, I will be back!

We didn't have time to for a night stay. Only had a business meeting in the cozy lobby and good service.

Nicely located in the center of Kuopio. Very nice personal at this location, at the reception and at the restaurant/breakfast.
Breakfast gives a wide variety of things to eat.
The Galla restaurant is very very good, but maybe a bit expensive. The waiter that served me, did a really excellent job. Good advise, knows how to bring it.
Rooms are nice an clean.

Cosy and very strategically located hotel. Literally just a few minutes away from the train station and Kuopio's keskusta is a few blocks away. The staff at the reception are all very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent service and not expensive hotel. Staff at reception and restaurant were treating every customer very well. Breakfast was a whole experience. Good variety of flavors from the Finnish nature.

Great place to stay at kuopio city centre. You can feel lappland without going to lappland 😊 Great breakfest and allergenies are observed.

We stayed for one night in the Junior Suite with late checkout and breakfast in bed.
There was a little bit of a wait at check-in due to a long line but the staff was extremely friendly and funny and we felt very welcome right from the beginning.
The room was spacious and the air conditioning was working tremendously well despite the heat outside. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the tub big enough for two people. The room was tidy and everything was well stocked. Extra points for the pillow selection and beautiful bathrobes! We heard no noises during the night from other rooms.
We chilled at the hotel lounge and bar which was open until 01:30 and it was also possible to take drinks back to the room. Cloudberry Spritzer was amazing!
Breakfast was made from quality ingredients and served in beautiful Pentik dishes. I have never tasted such good porridge in my life and I eat a lot of it! The only minus was the size of the omelet which was very small and thin. But the breakfast didn't leave me hungry either way and I ate all of the delicious clouberry jam and some of my partner's as well.
This was our first time at Lapland Hotel and we will definitely visit again!

Very good breakfast. Alot of finnish, local, lapland and reindeer products to choose from. We took the cheapest room. It was comfy and had everything that me and my girlfriend needed. We stayed only one night on the road trip to lapland. One more cool thing was that hotel tv allowed to use Youtube app. In my own personal experience not many hotel tvs allow this. Keep up the good work, Thank you! 👍😊

Newly renovated with Artic theme. Good taste in interiors. Clean and quiet. A special praise for the soap choices. Recommended for those visiting the center.

Very nice and clean rooms. Quite basic but there is all you need. Personnel is very friendly and helpful and I felt welcome there. The burger in the restaurant was amazing! I also got a small greeting from the kitchen.

Lapland Hotel clearly bring Lapland in Kuopio. You can sens the real Lapland everywhere in the hotel from rooms to restaurant. Location is next to the trainstation and only few minute walk is needed to get the "heart of the world" as they say in the marketplace of the Kuopio.

This is a good hotel. Efficient and very friendly staff and a nice overall atmosphere. The room I had was pretty compact, but fine for a one night business trip. Breakfast is great.

Great room, simple but tasteful décor, clean, good soundproofing, firm and comfortable bed, huge TV, hot shower and the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in a hotel! Who could ask for more😊

Had suite with sauna... suite was not huge but the sauna area was really cute! Breakfast was just amazing... worth staying here just for that!

Really lovely place. Comfortable beds in nice rooms, small gym, and the restaurant is sublime. Very, very good food and wine. Would happily have stayed longer.

Very nice setting and friendly staff, be on time for the sauna, breakfast is very good with local products, the details in the rooms and corridors are superb, recommended
