Restaurant La Famiglia

Superb pizza bianca (white Roman pizza) 🤌 The crust is perfectly cooked and moist with delicious olive oil. The restaurant is well decorated with polished premium wooden elements yet gives a cosy vibe. There is a nicely packed bar corner. Seats on the underground floor are quite private. Great location next to City Center. The only downside is that we walked in and had to wait to be seated for around 15 minutes at a bar area. Then around a half an hour at the table before the pizza arrived. Try to book a seat if possible. Would definitely go back there again to try more menus.

Best gluten free pizza I have ever had, staff are friendly and welcoming. They have a free salad bar with various options during lunch hour. Reasonable price for a delicious meal.

The food here is incredible! 100 stars out of ten! First, I was pleasantly surprised that Restaurant La Famiglia served non-alcholic wine!! I have to order a special bottle and have it shipped to me back in the States. The Blanc by Henkell was fantastic. My fiancé and I ordered the "selection due" for a starter, which I have to say is hand down the best charcuterie ensemble I have ever had... And I have had my fair share of fine cheeses and their accompaniments! I could keep you all day going through each and every item..just order it. You won't be disappointed by anything on that board!

My fiancé ordered the Carnosa Pizze and myself, the Pasta Carbonara. We shared a little of each other's meals, and we could not stop talking about how delicious it was. The carbonara, light, creamy, pancetta, and linguine were cooked to perfection. In the States, our pizza is normally cut... We felt foolish asking for it to be sliced, not knowing if that was a rude request. The attentive staff member took it back to be sliced without a glimpse of it being a rude request. We asked if it's normal to come out that way, and he gladly responded to us, yes, but we can do it anyway you'd like. All of the staff was warm, friendly, attentive, quick, and eager to help. We have been to many restaurants in Helsinki on this trip, and this is definitely the best experience all around that we've had.

Very good place to eat. Helsinki is quite expensive, but at this pizzeria the prices are decent. The food is delicious and sitting outside was very charming.

They let us in, even though we did’t have a reservation on busy hours. The pasta me and mum had was so amazing, I can’t recall the last time I had this good food. Higly recommend!

Great place right opposite Stockmann. Nice atmosphere, easy to find a table, tasty dishes and nice service. Although the prices are a bit higher than average, but it is worth it. Pizza picante, pasta carbonara and pasta with shrimps was delicious! Thank you :))) wine is a bit overpriced, but, I guess, it is a local specification.

Risotto with white fish - absolutely fantastic. The service “down to earth”-great. Especially Pinja. Love this restaurant ❤

Excellent quality food and the best service we've had in the city.

We really enjoy with our dinner here. Friendly staff, nice interior, near the city center, tasty meals, nice wine, prices are quite acceptable.

Every visit of this cozy restaurant are perfect. Chef is master here. Pizzas are so so delicious and not forgotten. Irish coffee is the best in Helsinki. Thank you 🙏🏻

Great surprise! We had steak, I know not exactly Italian, but darn it was perfect. Server was always asking us if we needed another drink, topping off water and how's the food. I can't imagine how great the Italian dishes are but if it's like their steak...a must try!! And as an American visiting, I know my steaks 😎

La Famiglia is located in the centre of Helsinki on a nice walking street on which something is always happening. I enjoyed eating there; I ordered the full summer menu (starter, main course and dessert). The food was carefully prepared and delicious. Since it was a warm summer day, I sat in the outdoor terrace, which was very enjoyable with street performers playing classical music right opposite the restaurant. The service was excellent, and I felt very welcome. I highly recommend La Famiglia as a venue for lunch or dinner.

Gem of a find in central location. Lots of locals and nice atmosphere. Wonderful food at great prices. Share a antipasti platter and try chicken saltimbocca or mate risotto. You'll not be disappointed.
