Aux Merveilleux de Fred

Although I'm not a big fan of their famous Le Merveilleux (personal preferences), this patisserie doesn't need any explanation.

Their chocolate cramique (brioche with chocolate chips) is another one to taste.

It stands true to everything I've heard about this place! This is a small shop in the Vieux Lille That serves one of the best Merveilleux you can get out there!

Plush interiors that exude that elegance, you'll be delighted as soon as you enter this shop. Several flavours of Merveilleux are available but I ordered the classic one. I loved it. 😋

Amazingly tasty and light! We got a box of 6 for €8 so a little pricey but they are definitely worth trying. The interior is very grandly decorated and you can watch the chefs making them

Wow. You need to try the Marvellous cakes here, super sweet and delicate, an absolute masterpiece! We went for the small ones and a brioche for breakfast. If you have a sweet tooth, go all in!

Went here because of the hype but it fully measured up to my expectations! Not a huge fan of cream or merengue but the the combination turned out to be one of the lightest, funnest, most delicious dessert experiences of my life. Went with the standard marveilleux and was delighted by my decision. A must try in Lille!

These Merveilleux are absolutely stunning. Worth the queue, and don't stop at one or two. Get a box of 12 or more and set the family loose on them, or don't and hide them somewhere for yourself. They are like little clouds of deliciousness.

Wow, where have these been my whole life?! Wish they were available everywhere in the world! Definitely a must try.

So so good! I tried the one with Caramel (not in the picture) and it melted on my tongue. This is worth a visit.

My first merveilleux in France 🤩 and they were so good. It so sad that they only have take-away option, but the staffs were super nice and more importantly, they could speak English.

Delicious!
Merveilleux need to be eaten in 24h and stored in fridge. But they're very tasty, especially the roasted nuts version. Shop is small but cute. Nice dessert after lunch at an estaminet!

Yummy cramiques I can't recommend enough, merveilleux you need to try if you like creamy desserts and well, everything else is excellent too so you can't go wrong really. Just know they have different locations in Lille so there's no real need to wait a long while in line, unless you really want to.

Essentially they are meringues with the cream on the outside and flavoured. Marvellous light treats

I got one small caramel merveilleux. It was really nice. Sweet but not too sweet that I couldn’t finish it

My first time trying merveilleux, and they were incredible. The staff spoke English and were very helpful and nice. Will definitely be going back for more!
