Beautiful caves, eroded by a subterranean river over the course of thousands of years. The tour is given by the guide in French only but translated audio tours are available for one euro a piece. Would definitely recommend going if you like minerals and caves. The tour is fully wheelchair friendly.

A very well preserved cave. Accessed using an elevator which brings you 25meter down. From there, there is a flat walkway accessible with wheelchair and stroller. The walkway is 300meters long and gives a fantastic view of all stalagmites and stalactites and the still visible running underground river. A visit well worth!

What an excellent cave system. A lift takes you down to the 300mtr walkway. A wheelchair friendly place to visit 👍🏻. It’s quite dark inside with minimal lighting but that makes it very atmospheric. You get a handset guide in English so you can do the tour at your own pace. Hardly anyone there today which made for a brilliant experience. You can take photos but no flash is allowed. Caves only opened in 2010.

So well done, good English electronic guides, easy layout, beautiful and cool in super hot weather! Friendly staff, fascinating experience, would definitely recommend!

There are bigger caves, and there are caves with more drama. But this one was excellent for us simply because there is a lift to get down to the cave and the walkway is flat. All other caves we have been to have many steps, sometimes wet, and are difficult to manage if you have reduced mobility.

Also, you have an audioguide rather than a person so you can go at your own pace, and go back and forward. And you can take pictures! No flash, but that's ok - flash photos would not look good anyway.

Definitely worth a visit.

Really worth a visit. Accessing a cave via an elevator is surreal 😃

This cave system is amazing to walk around, and well worth a real-person guided tour in your language, as you can ask questions and get a real sense of local enthusiasm for the history.

Note at you should check when a tour with your own language can be given as they sometimes change times (from those given on their Web site) based on demand. If you call, the staff speak reasonable English.

If you can't get a tour in your own language you can also join a tour in another language and listen to a translated recording with handheld device (for a small additional fee).

The cave system you're shown is around 250m in length by my guess, and has several stations where the tour guide stops to discuss the process by which the caves and structures are formed. It's accessed by lift, and is entirely accessible to those with mobility issues.

There is no flash photography nor filming in the caves, so sorry about the quality of my pictures...

An adult is classed as 14 up for the purposes of pricing.

Gift shop sells various rocks/geodes and books.

On our visit there was also a bouncy castle outside the building.

It is wonderful the way the pathway has been created all on an even flat level, to allow also for easy wheelchair access, prams, and people who find uneven terrain difficult. All can come and enjoy these wonderful caves and the beautiful lighting effects.

What a hidden gem, an amazing cave complex, an excellent presentation with cleaver lighting. A self tour allows you to take your tour at your own pace.

Excellent cave with an interesting story, only recently opened. Good cave to visit if you have limited mobility. Lift down into the cave then a metal walk way through the cave. Excellent guided tour with option for English speakers. Is very cool down in the caves dress warmly.

Lovely evening at the Gourmand Marches

This is where several local eateries set up a stall at the Grotte Tourtoirac and you can walk around pick what meal you fancy then take it to a table and eat it

There is a guy there selling wine and beer is also available

This happens every Tuesday during July and August

Tonight last week in August it was very busy

A very cool family trip. 2 adults and 2 teens (nearly) all had a great time. They're working on the visitor centre currently and this threw us a little, but inside it's business as usual. We called late June and it was quiet. Our guide said July gets very busy since French school holidays kick in then. The guided tour is very good, a mixture of multilingual devices and our guide had very good English too. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she's very nice, and she knows what she's talking about. All in, we'll worth a call...and we drove 1 hour to get there!

Amazing experience. English audio tour available if you don't want to wait for an English guide. Dress up warm as it's about 13'C.
