THE covered market of Lille. Great local products such as cheese, bread, wine, meats, and some prepared food. There are stalls that have been there for years and new market entrants doing creative things with the local products. This is well worth a visit. The hours have change and they are open later than they have been historically to cater to a wider audience. In my mind, this is a most see. If you want to eat food on the spot, go around noon. There are a few choices and I predict those will grow.

Amazing local market with a great vibe. Local produce like cheese, meats and fish available. Good place to go for Sunday lunch, or sit in a cafe and watch locals go by. There are some good food options available inside.

Very nice fresh market. If you want to buy fresh fruit, meat, vegatables etc. This is the right place. It is not just an odenair market. Such a pleasure to see all the fresh fruit with a lot colours. Or what to think about the large collection of fresh fish. The place is very clean. You can eat crepe as well.

Great place to find affordable stuff. Food, gadgets, household items etc. Beware some of the stuff are on sale because they are nearing the expiry date. You need to buy items with cash. Foodstuff are very affordable.
