We've visited and photographed many churches and cathedrals across Europe and this one immediately jumped into our Top 5 because of its beauty, drama and architecture.

Even if the stained glass windows were the only highlight, a visit to this church would be worth it. HOWEVER, they are just one of the many highlights.

The exterior detail (and restoration) is beautiful but when you walk inside you see the real highlights. Initially is seems rather simple then as your eyes adjust and you begin to notice the detail you begin to understand that you are standing in a very special structure.

Grab yourself a 'self-guided tour' pamphlet (we found them on the left side of the church about 1/4 way down from main entrance) so you are able to identify the dozens of unique features.

Beautiful Church worth visiting and very easy to locate close to the city centre. The stained glass is stunning and the whole architect is fantastic! Its free entry and you can light candles if you want to.

In some ways, this church is better than the cathedral within Lille. Upkeep is done well and clean. Friendly staff.
