Citadelle de Lille

Me and my boyfriend had a nice long walk along the path around Citadelle de Lille. The place is so big that we both agree that it takes the second time visit to finish exploring everything.

You can see trees everywhere and it is beautiful. I highly recommend if you want a long nice walk. I am not sure about pinic here because I do not see anyone doing so. However, I could see it is a perfect place for bikers, hikers and runners.

We had a lot of fun taking our time admiring the beautiful nature, there were a lot of place to rest along the way if you get tired.

The old fortress monument in Lille during hunderous years and now becoming the military land. Actually it is a very good place for people to take the fresh air ! Sportive activities are highly recommend here.

Gorgeous place. Very glad we visited. Has a zoo on one side and even a little amusement park. You cannot enter the citadel though. I believe it's still an active military installation of some sort. But you can walk all around the outside, which is beautifully landscaped and has lots of interesting architecture.

It is a very beautiful park, and lots of people walking and jogging in it. You might think it is a cool castle view from Google map, but it’s not opened for tourist.

The park around Citadelle de Lille is quite a charm. Especially during summer. Serenity exemplified. A gem within Lille. Ideal for outdoor activities while alone, boo’d up or with your family/friends. Too bad the Citadelle itself isn’t easily accessible.

Green space with tracks. Lots of people running, jogging and walking. Nothing special as the citadel is closed. The funfair might be interesting for kids though.

No ticket enter to visit. Really good park. It is impressive for me.

Nice place for a walk. Lots of green. You can take your kids in a small zoo or roller-coaster which is located in this area too or rent a boat and go for a short trip.

I don't think i'll come in summer because of people but october to april it s very quiet and full of birds love it!

Great outdoor space to walk and get out of the city.

Beautiful place, but there are a lot rats.

Great ‘park’ for jogging or strolling. Huge green space. Can’t really see the fort, just part of the walls.

You can't go into the fort since it's an active military base, but it's lovely to walk around the park bordering the fort

The citadels is located in the amazing fortress which has been converted into a huge public park where everyone can enjoy relaxing, walking or running....

Did not imagine a citadelle was in Lille! This city, 1h30 from Brussels, worth a visit. A couple of days. I assure you won't regret it.

Around the citadel is a big park for a nice walk. Still a lot of the old parts visible.
