Le Coq rouge

Arriving in Reims, this was the first place we visited. We got a warm French welcome and a fine place at the window. Starting with champagne (we just arrived in the champagne region), next ordering some tasty tapas with a bottle of Bandol. We stayed a good part of the evening. Tip: try the Bandol. Another tip: let the waiters help you, they have a good understanding of the wines. Recommandation for le Coq Rouge: options for vegetarian tapas was limited, 1 or 2 more, would finish up your menu.

Brilliant wine bar in a central location in Reims. Great quality food-we had tuna and mini burgers. A variety of wines available and excellent service.

Superb wine bar with huge selection of wines and champagnes. Plus excellent Tapas. And first rate service. Faultless.

Good food, great wine and, most importantly, the nicest staff you could ever hope to come across.

We loved our visit to Le Coq Rouge. It felt like a neighborhood joint and the owner seemed to know everyone who walked by. We only wanted to stay for a drink but ended up getting a bottle and several dishes. The wine was amazing and the food was satisfying. Highly recommend visiting if you are in Reims!

Amazing buffalo mozzarella and good wine options! Came in without a reservation and they sat us at a nice table by the window. Great for people watching and having some drinks. Friendly service!

The wine and champagne selection is huge and all excellent. The tapas are very nice, maybe add some variety on top of finger food. The service is very kind and fast.

We showed up randomly and they still made the effort to give us a good table, food was absolutely amazing! We’re not native french speaking but they gave us the opportunity to express ourselves and when met with confusion they clarified with english. Service also extremely friendly and we would definitely recommend dining here

Wow!!! Amazing champagnes and wine selection. The charcuterie platter was one of the best we had. What was the best part? The absolutely amazing 5 star service. Thank you for a wonderful evening in Reims

Great time at Le Coq Rouge. Best wine by the glass on our entire trip to France, great prices too. The food options were limited though there was plenty to fill up on. Reserve if you can, though not necessary if you go early.

as if there never was Covid - everything we likes unspoiled there.

Atmosphere - perfect, chilled though really busy.
Staff: very friendly and welcoming, attentive and humerous.
Champagnes: still an unbelievable choice and very knowledgeable advice, prices very reasonable.
Food: Tapas-style - what we like for an evening out. "Tartare de Veau" is a delicious new entry. Those meat lovers should try it, the indian spices make this a perfect match for a "Blanc de Noirs".
Music: still the classic from the 80s onwards with some oldies thrown in.

Off the beaten track and nevertheless an address not to miss.

Was recommended this place for a pre-evening drink & it didn't disapointed. Bottle of red wine €25 to share between 3 of us. Owner spoke good English & I would gladly return.

Really nice atmosphere and great service, the prices are fair and the wine is going. Though next time I would really like a snack with my wine to be part of the deal.
