Beautiful place to visit. Came with a large group at 11am and we had it to ourselves.
Wonderfully maintained with beautiful flowers.
Huge stone memorials provide a wonderful entrance while blocking out the noise from the streets making it very peaceful inside.

We got to see German soldiers buried here and done so with respect. Their graves are maintained and some have new marble stones when theirs were too old or damaged.

A beautiful memorial in the centre of Arras.

The Arras memorial is actually several memorials to the Commonwealth all put together in one location. Here at the memorial you will see Americans Germans Canadians British New Zealand South Africans as well as other people that help the Commonwealth during the war. There is also a Russian grave on site.

I would recommend you plan at least 45 minutes to view and appreciate this location.

Of special note is the German memorials mixed with the Commonwealth graves.

At the far end of the cemetery you will also find a American Colonel who is memorialized in the cemetery.

The Arras Memorial to the Missing is an imposing, but moving tribute to almost 35,000 men of the British and Commonwealth forces, most of whom fell during the Battle of Arras between April and May 1917. The memorial forms the entrance to the Faubourg d'Amiens Cemetery which contains the graves of more than 2,600 men, mostly from the Great War.

A wonderful tribute to those who lost their lives fighting in World War 1. Kept very clean and is very peaceful. It's hard to imagine all the names as people (around 36,000) but nice to pay your respects.

The Arras World War IĀ memorialĀ in France commemorates the deaths of no less than 35942 soldiers of the United Kingdom, South Africa and New Zealand. The cemetery is beautifully kept with flowers and all graves are immaculately clean.

Beautiful Memorial to visit whilst in the Artois Region of France. The Arras Memorial to the Missing incorporates the Flying Services Memorial and the Fabourg D’Amiens Cemetery.

Very poignant place, it really brings the reality of war home.
Very sad to know that a name on the wall is a missing soldier or non combatant, they will never be forgotten.

Beautiful and well looked after, found a relative connection here from the war.

Oh my goodness. A visit to any cemetery is thought provoking but when you read the ages of those brave young men on their headstones it tears your heart.

I found my great great uncle in this immaculately kept cemetery, its a very peaceful , reflective place , would only be made better if there were some toilets there or near by

Really well kept and breathtaking memorial. Really hits home to walk around and see so many names on the walls and graves in the centre.

A beautiful memorial to all of the 36k men that died in the battle of Arras. Quiet and peaceful but also very sad. Worth the visit to pay respects.

Visited the memorial for my great grandfather, beautiful monument honouring those that came before us and gave their lives. Well maintained and clean, thanks to the CWGC for their dedication

It's hard to say that I loved it as the 5 stars suggest but it is a very impressive monument and cemetery. It's imposing in a far more restful and reflective way than the other large mo uments are.
Parking is easy as there is a large car park opposite but although I've visited several times I always get lost!

Stunningly poignant. Went on 10th November in the morning when it was pouring with rain. Seemed appropriate weather to remember the fallen.... Visited that night for the 'Great Vigil', where lanterns and balloons were lit and poetry, prose and songs were performed and pipers played. Moving, humbling experience.
