L’ecailler du château

Starter: fresh squid salad and creamy butter shrimps.
Main: lobster is so fresh and sweet! Although the size is small. Smashed potato is so creamy to pair with fish.
Dessert: forgot the name, but it’s big and good!
Service: much faster than other French restaurant!

The experience is warm and welcoming. Extremely friendly staffs and the food is delicious. The wine paring was perfect and for any first timer, remember to try their chocolate cake with ice cream.

I love the way food is cooked and presented. The fish is cooked to perfection and presented as a whole. So make sure remove the skin, because the scale is still on. The profiteroles as a dessert is not what I thought. Rather one giant cream puff with ice cream standing in a shallow pool of chocolate drizzles.

Seafood lovers, stop here! This restaurant is specialized in fish and especially seafood, but excellent meat can also be tasted (Angus beef). All is excellent and freshly made. The decorations are modern and in line with Fontainebleau history and the castle. The staff is very friendly. Booking is highly recommended.

We decided to celebrate our 40 years together as a couple last Saturday. Very nice 'ambiance' in the restaurant, very friendly and professional service and of course the Seafood was great. We had a great time and had to finish the evening with Champagne on the House! Merci beaucoup à l'équipe pour une agréable soirée!! We won't wait another 10 years to go back and celebrate again.

It was a great meal. Highly recommend the oysters. The servers speak English if you are not fluent in French. I'd recommend for any American tourists.

SPECTACULAR!!! The best paella I have ever had and the most magnificent fois gras iv had in France. I am from australia where the food is amazing but this was one of the best meals I have ever had and the service was outstanding. You must come!!!

Ate some delicious oysters and a beautiful lobster paella to the sound of live music. Loved the experience and will definitely be going back.

The view is amazing, in front of the castle. The meat was extra++, this place is fabulous anyway.

Its a lovely place with great people running it , the boss himself and lady boss were very attentive to all the guests. I personally meet Mr.Miguel the owner he is wonderful person , the food is fresh and tasty location is great right in the center with the view of the castle

Great restaurant with one of the warmest and most heartfelt welcomes ever. From beginning to end you are treated like a family member.
Extensive menu with priority focusing on fish. Saw a lot of bar sent out from the kitchen and the moule frites is a right plate full.

We decided on the duck and what a treat it was.
All round, good produce, cooked well and competitively priced the L’escalliller du chateau provides a very honest meal.
By the way, either reserve a table or be there no later than 8.30pm,
It does get busy, so that says a lot.

The owners are so hospitable and upbeat. The other waiting staff works like a team also. You feel so welcome here.
Food is delicious. You will have an amazing time here!

Very nice service not only with attention of the owner herself but the chef himself!! Chef made a nice passage at the end of the service to each table!! Tgey are concentrated on seafood with some meat dishes. One of the dining experiences that i will remember for the rest of my life. We got angus beef and napoleon seafood dish both were very good . Nice selection of wine, also. Recommend profiterole as a dessert!

I highly recommend this restaurant for its fresh fish and exceptional service. It was lovely to meet the chef on our first visit and then the owner on the second occasion. Impeccable.

The fish and oysters were fresh and tasty. The location, across from the chateau with a full view of the main entrance, was ideal. But what sets this place apart, especially in France, especially in the Paris region, is the service. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and attentive. We loved it!

Excellent service and excellent food. After our main meals we ordered two alcoholic desserts. One they forgot to put the Champagne in. So they gave us two free glasses of Champagne. We didn't even know there was no alcohol in the dessert !!! Brilliant!!!

What a lovely place! Great service and tasty food (had the mussels, entrecote, and ice cream). The food came out really fast too (perhaps because we came at first seating and didn't order apps). Looking forward to returning. :)

Parfait! We stayed 3 nights in Fontainebleau and had dinner here every night. Alessandra is a heartwarming person who runs the restaurant with passion for perfect (sea-!) food. Highly recommendable.

Excellent food. I enjoyed the cod with coconut sauce and risotto. Much more refined than the busy places by the Rue Grande. Also, quite peaceful sitting outside (despite the proximity to a busy traffic circle). And, of course, the view is extraordinary!
