Excellent restaurant in Moncontour. Perfect for lunch while visiting this lovely town. Friendly , efficient service. Great value 3-course meal with plenty of choices. Extensive a la carte menu that’s reasonably priced and more than copious. Highly recommended.

This is some find. It is a restaurant in this small village that would be just as at home in a big city or fancydan town. Situated in a restored industrial building it is surprisingly camp chic with clear thoughtful effort. The tables and chairs are comfortable and well spaced and the WC area was spotless.

The kitchen is not visible, but if it were you could imagine the grinding controlled speed that would be going on, efficient chaos producing the excellent dishes we were seeing and eating.

The two owners (?) might be a couple given that they are attracted opposites. One is pleasantly dour and quiet while the other appears to be the front of house man. It would not surprise me if the former was the chef.

The menu was fresh with dishes brilliantly crafted from what you'd find at the local market that morning. The cost was just and deserved.

The wine list was weak. Of course the usual suspects were there but for a restaurant that had the decor and food pillars constructed so well; I was surprised there wasn't more excitement in the wine list.

This was a great meal in a well run joint. Well worth a detour if you are in range.

As a local Chambre d'hotes this restaurant is our go to recommendation for guests. Without exception guests report excellent service and quality meals. Its also one of the few quality restaurants to open on a Monday evening,very important for guests who are not familiar with the normal closures in this area.

At €18,50 for 3 courses, the lunchtime menu is excellent value. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.
