Chez Eric

We walked over the old bridge (quite lovely) and found Chez Eric by chance. Stopped for a café. Eric (sweet host and pretty good English) said he also does food - curry & omelettes - so we stayed for more café and omelette lunch. Sat outside by the road (no traffic as it’s a dead end), lovey atmosphere. A gem of a find!

You have to come here! No excuses, the food was unbelievable. You will make noises while eating this delicious food and your eyes may roll into the back of your head. We had the chicken curry on Eric's recommendation and it was incredible. Such a great vibe, Eric is super friendly and the atmosphere and music is perfect. I'd give this 6 stars if it was possible.

Saw Eric the second time now on our travels to the Atlantic coast.
Such a cool place! tells plenty of exciting stories (Eric himself as well) and created all by himself. Respect for doing your thing Eric. See you next time.

Very cool place with very cool owner - professional international football player turned restaurant owner chef! You must have his ginger chicken with rice!!!! All made right on site with stunning results. On a balmy summer evening you can sit outside and enjoy the magnificent old bridge. Eric is also a fountain of local information and given an opportunity he always help. Amazing must go experience if you’re within 100 km.

Don't miss out by skipping this place if your ever in Confolens France! Excellent experience across the board. Eric is a wonderful cook and person!!

On a recommendation from our chambre d'hôte hosts my boyfriend and I visited Eric's, and we have to say it was the best night ever 😂. Eric greeted us and told us what we were eating!! He made me a vegetarian curry which was 🔥🔥🔥🥵 and my boyfriend had a hot chicken curry. The food was excellent as was the beer, pichet of wine and petit punch Éric gifted us with.

We will definitely visit again 😊

Looking forward to going back there when lock-down has ended. Eric, we hope you are OK and your business survives. Hope you have not run out of your vanilla rum :)

Éric est un mec sympa et cool. Il m'a fait mangé alors qu'il ne faisait pas de repas le soir où je suis passé . Prenez le temps d'y boire une bière en bord de Vienne.

Niveau restauration : Plat unique, toujours du créole maison, un delice!
Niveau cuite: toujours un plaisir! Tu fais le tour du monde en 4 verres , faut juste faire gaffe à la traversée du pont vieux en repartant !!! Rdv incontournable des soirées confolentais.

Repas créole délicieux ! Eric est fermé tous les hivers depuis 20 ans et sera de retour mi Mai 2024

Un repas sacrément bon, un chef hilarant des barres de rires. Des possibilités de plats avec ou sans viandes, une cuisine avec des influences mauriciennes qui ravit nos papilles, bien épicée et avec juste ce qu'il faut de piments : bref, un délice.

Très bon café soit dit en passant, contrairement à ce qu'en dise les rageux ;) à bons entendeurs...

Bar / Restaurant très convivial, repas exotique succulent, terrasse ombragée au calme d'une rue pavée. On recommande ce lieu sans prétention mais tellement sympathique. .

Convivialité assuré, repas créole au top, Eric super accueillant et toujours d'une extrême gentillesse ! Dommage que je n'ai pas plus le temps sinon j'irai plus souvent !

Un endroit atypique, une petite terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur le vieux pont, un patron exceptionnel.
Un lieu incontournable a Confolens !
