Les Divettes

We stayed with Valerie and Eric on 19 August. Both were wonderful hosts, Eric was very pleased to receive his first Welsh guests especially as he had an interest in Rugby and Valerie enjoyed practising her English.
The house has been wonderfully restored and the rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. We had a lovely breakfast shared with guests from Germany and France
The house is ideally situated to visit the Normandy landing beaches and museums.

Klein hotel langs de route naar Omaha Beach. Vanaf hier prima te wandelen naar Wiederstandsnest 60 met uitzicht over Omaha, of juist in een klein half uur naar een rustig kiezelstrand met een kleine waterval.

Enfin, een goede uitvalbasis dus voor een bezoek aan Normandië. Het hotel zelf is een oud maar gerenoveerd gebouw, met verrassend grote kamers en prima bedden (in elk geval op de eerste verdieping), met etage een prima badkamer. Wel houten vloeren dus ietwat gehorig, maar men komt toch ook te slapen: geen tv etc op de kamers dus geluid is beperkt.

De eigenaar spreekt goed Engels en heeft mooie verhalen en een lieve hond. Zijn vrouw spreekt alleen Frans, met enkele noodzakelijke Engelse woorden en zorgt voor het ontbijt en meer: van croissant tot cruesli, van typische lokale producten tot... Koffie, uiteraard.

Nous avons passé une nuit chez Valérie et Éric qui nous ont très bien accueillis. Les chambres sont impeccables, dans les tons très clairs. Eric et valérie ont restauré cette belle bâtisse qui a 300 ans et ils aiment nous raconter la vie de cette grande maison qui a un charme, et des photos qui retracent l'historique de cet endroit. Le petit déjeuner était excellent, très complet. l'endroit est bien situé et calme, nous sommes pas très loin de la mer et de port en bessin.

Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Valérie et Éric qui nous ont très bien accueillis. Les chambres sont nickel, très accueillantes, le lieu magnifique et idéalement situé près de la mer. Le petit-déjeuner était compris, délicieux (viennoiseries, confitures maison, beurre et yahourts fermiers, charcuterie...) et copieux ! Nous sommes ravis de les avoir rencontrés et nous reviendrons surement !

Fantastische locatie, vriendelijke mensen, origineel ontbijt, verzorgde en propere kamers. Vrij zwak WiFi bereik.

July 2014 - The owners were Marie and Francios and they were wonderful! The B&B was lovely and very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, also.
Francois gives reasonably priced, private, behind the scenes tours of the bunkers and beaches of Normandy. He also has amazing amounts of memorabilia that he has collected from the beaches over the years.
Francois speaks English and Marie is doing well with learning it as well. 😊. We would go back there again and again!

Superbe endroit. Petit bémol il n'y a pas de wifi dans les chambres, il faut être à l'extérieur de la maison pour avoir le wifi.

Fijne locatie om Normandië te ontdekken. Aardige mensen, schoon en goed ontbijt
