Clos de la Barbanne

WOW! A perfect blend of rustic charm and luxurious comfort. The highlight of my stay was the exceptionally comfortable bed, the breakfast and the on site wine!

My huge room combined vintage charm with modern amenities, including a spacious en-suite bathroom with a rain shower and premium toiletries. Every detail was designed for maximum comfort and relaxation whilst viewing the most picturesque French countryside.

The hosts Marisa & Patrick are so warm and welcoming. The airline lost my bag for 4 days and they did everything they could to help me.

The daily breakfast featured fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, with homemade granola, pastries and gourmet coffee being particular highlights. Patrick also demonstrated his wine process and was generous with the sampling. An intimate, educational and fun time with fabulous wine.

The beautifully landscaped gardens and picturesque views provided a serene backdrop for relaxation. It was truly rejuvenating and I can't wait to return with family and friends.

Wonderful experience visiting Clos de la Barbanne for a wine tasting and tour. Patrick was an amazing host and the property was beautiful. We learned a great deal, and the wine was delicious. We purchased a case and shipped back to the US. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Patrick!

Wow. What can I say about the perfect place to stay on vacation. So warm. So inviting. Marisa, Patrick and Remy made our stay most memorable. The rooms are 5 star all the way. Felt like I was staying with family. Breakfasts fantastic. The property is gorgeous. These guys really did it right. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much for making your place a fond memory for us.

Our group of 6 had the pleasure of staying at this lovely B&B for 5 nights while exploring Bordeaux. Marisa was so helpful prior to arriving sending info and suggestions for restaurants , winery visits, etc. We were very happy with the peaceful location of the property , while still close to the day trips we had planned . The villa has been totally redone and the rooms are beautiful ! The bathrooms are huge with double sinks, large showers ( with great water pressure ) large lighted mirrors and Aesop toiletries. The beds are true king size mattresses and the towels & bedding are luxurious. After spending a few weeks staying in places with the typical European bathrooms we really appreciated all of these modern updates !
Now for the hosts & service , Patrick and Marisa are really kind and beyond helpful . Breakfast was a delicious assortment of fresh fruits , yogurt , pastries , delicious granola & more . A special thank you to Patrick for the endless coffee requests !!
One evening we stayed in and had an amazing grazing board as well as the their wine . The wine was very good , we look forward to having some shipped to us in the fall !
Marisa , Patrick , Marisa's parents , 2 cute pups , & the most adorable Remy have really created a warm welcoming place to relax & refresh while touring the Bordeaux area .

My stay at Clos de la Barbanne has been nothing short of special. Marisa and Patrick are exceptional hosts who have perfected every aspect of their charming bed and breakfast. The chateau itself is a marvel, seamlessly blending traditional charm with modern amenities, creating a space that is both inviting and luxurious.

The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, with the highlight being the incredibly comfortable bed and top-quality linens. Marisa and Patrick's hospitality knows no bounds. They are always ready with recommendations for exploring the region, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience.

Patrick's passion for wine shines through in every aspect of Clos de la Barbanne, from the expertly crafted wines to his great knowledge of wine production. It's no surprise that his wines are sought after by Michelin-starred restaurants.

And let's not forget about breakfast – a variety of French delicacies that perfectly sets the tone for the day ahead. The location of Clos de la Barbanne is also ideal, with easy access to both the airport and nearby wineries and restaurants. Personally, I love Les Belles Perdrix, just a short drive away, for its exquisite cuisine and stunning views.

In summary, Clos de la Barbanne is a gem that I've had the pleasure of visiting twice, and I look forward to my next visit. Marisa and Patrick have truly created something special here, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I stayed at Clos de la Barbanne last July and had a lovely experience. Our room was beautiful and clean, there are adorable dogs on the property, and we got to enjoy the wine on site. The winery is centrally located among many others and close to cute medieval towns. Bordeaux is a short distance away, and just beyond it, along the coast, there is great bird watching. We were well taken care of by the hosts who are attentive and make delicious food. We especially appreciated the soft, comfortable beds. We can't wait to come back.

My husband and I were fortunate to find a B and B in our travels well worth a mention . Situated in Montagne just outside of St Emilion Clos De La Barbrane is a true treasure .The hosts Marisa and Patrick are an outstanding young couple who made our stay a truly memorable one.

The Chamber Aigrette was amazingly fitted out in design and class the comfort of the bed and linens were outstanding .

Breakfast a perfect start to the day served on a delightful little patio , the library warm and very welcoming .

We would without doubt place this as a 5 star retreat

Amazing and immersive experience in beautiful Bordeaux wine country. We had the honor of being treated to the warm hospitality of our hosts and their piece of Bordeaux paradise for an all-too-short one night stay.

The rooms are enormous and well appointed.

The meals are gourmet and adventurous.

The vineyard is simply gorgeous.

We were treated to a colorful and engaging tour of the grounds, along with the history of the surrounding area.

This place is truly a treasure and well worth a visit.

Staying at Clos de la Barbanne was an absolute dream!! From driving through St Emillion and arriving at the property everything was breathtaking. Marisa and Patrick are incredible hosts with impeccable taste and attention to detail. With newly renovated rooms the B&B was such a delight! I spent my 40th birthday there with close friends. It was truly a memory and experince I won’t forget! Oh and the wine was Devine too :)) I love my red wines and their blend was superb.

We spent 4 days/three nights in St Emilion at Clos de la Barbanne. We were originally planning on a luxury hotel but heard about this by word of mouth -> WOW - So glad we stayed here instead! This place is a gorgeous B&B in a perfect location just outside of St Emilion. The new owners (Patrick and Marissa) have lovingly remodeled an existing B&B into a spacious and beautifully decorated place akin to a luxury Relais & Châteaux property. Tasteful colors, high quality sheets and towels, fantastic furniture, accessories, lightning, and modern bathrooms. The rooms are HUGE, comfortable, and quiet. They served a great breakfast each day including fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and baguette, croissant, and pain au chocolate sourced from a local patisserie. Patrick arranged for e-bikes which we used to tour the area and also took care of making dinner reservations ( Les Belles Perdrix was amazing) and lining up several winery tours. He gave us a tour of his own winery and we even bought a case of wine after tasting his 2021 (which he shipped back to the US for us). They are so hospitable and helpful it is almost embarrassing – making sure we have everything we need, every detail attended to. There is easy parking and even EV charging. This is really just the best location, best value, and best choice we could have made. My highest recommendations. I am trying to organize a return to this property with my grown kids.

Une chambre spacieuse avec du charme. Et une terrasse où se poser tranquillement.
À proximité de Saint Emilion, dans les vignes. Une très belle découverte du chai et du vin Concerto. Le propriétaire ne manquera pas de vous raconter passionnément l'histoire des vignes et de la région.
Un petit déjeuner très gourmand et un dîner qui réveille les papilles grâce à la propriétaire.
Lieu idéal pour visiter Saint Emilon et ses alentours.

Séjour délicieux autour du Concerto ! Sa douce mélodie nous a attiré jusqu'au Clos, lieu raffiné et chaleureux, idéalement situé pour profiter de la région, du vignoble et de son histoire si bien raconté par Laurent, le propriétaire. Ce Concerto nous a accompagné tout au long de la soirée avec des plats exceptionnels de saveurs tous élaborés par notre hôte Annie et cela jusqu'au petit déjeuner très complet. Merci pour ce séjour que mon intuition me disait de ne pas manquer...

Endroit à découvrir absolument.
Les chambres sont très confortables et décorées avec raffinement.
Annie et Laurent sont de merveilleux hôtes.
