Crêperie Saint Melaine

Outstand selection of galettes. There were 4 of us and we each tried and shared different selections. Fresh tasty ingredients and came to the table piping hot. Served in the traditional Bretagne style, each one is tasty and full of tasty cheeses, mushrooms, onions, bacon or whatever is your favourite combo. Desserts are huge. 2 of us shared a crépe with dark chocolate sauce, hazelnuts and almonds along with ice cream and large dollops of fresh thick cream.. golly, we rolled out if the place fully satisfied.

My favorite crêperie in Rennes! I have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. The galettes are excellent as well the crêpes. Always good service as well. Whenever I have people visit me in Rennes I always make sure to bring them here to discover the local specialities.

Only crêperie my grandparents have allowed me to go to in Rennes in the past 15 years. I have tried a variety of galettes and crêpes here over the years and its always delicious, especially the complete galette and any crêpe with chocolate. Chorizo and salmon ones are delicious as well.

A large assortment of from traditional to less-so. Absolutely delicious and reasonable prices, with helpful staff (with varying levels of facility with English). I would be happy to return.

Crepes at Saint Melaine were absolutely delightful! We were googling around for the best crepe in Rennes, and it was an overwhelming yes for us to check Saint Melaine out. Most reviewers had great things to say about this place, and true enough, the crepes were good.

We had Le Marée (scallops, salmon and leek fondue) and Le Bigoudène (salted butter and caramel, with stewed apple inside). Both were so good. Service was not too bad, the waitress was so busy but she still remembered to serve us.

In this restaurant you can have a great lunch, appreciating local Breton cuisine. The menu is large, the portions are huge, tasty. You can come with children, a big company. Located in the historic center of Rennes. Large selection of wine, cider, beer. It is comfortable inside and outside. The staff is very hospitable, efficient, pleasant to serve.

I loved this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I had a galette complete while my boyfriend had a galette with ham. The portions are huge too! I'll definitely be back :)

Wonderfully traditional Breton creperie in the historic town center north not far from Thabor park and the Saint Melaine church. Excellent choice of crêpes and galette. Would caution you to reserve as it fills up very fast.

Great, fresh galettes at a great price. So many choices and everyone's galette looked delicious. Very accommodating of my poor French

Réservation de dernière minute, vraiment pas déçus, je recommande cette creperie. Les lieux ont une déco dans le thème de la Bretagne. Les crêpes sont cuisinées avec des produits de qualité, bien garnies et bien présentées. Nous avons un peu attendu maintenant c'est les vacances donc pas bien grave. Les serveuses étaient cependant très gentilles. Le petit plus pour moi les WC sont propres 😉.
Bon rapport qualité prix 100e pour une famille de 5 avec que des ados.

La MEILLEURE crêperie de Bretagne et je pèse mes mots. J'ai mangé des galettes à Nantes, Guérande, Quimper, Brest et Staint-Malo. Cette crêperie de Rennes a clairement surpassé toutes mes attentes. En plus d'ingrédients de qualité très bien cuisinés, la galette elle-même était delicieuse, un peu épaisse, vraiment parfaite. Les portions sont généreuses et les prix très convenables.

Di gran lunga la miglior gallette mangiata in bretagna!!!

Io e una mia amica siamo state qui a cena e abbiamo diviso due gallette: una Savoyarde e una Montagnarde, una più buona dell’altra. Nota di merito assolutamente per l’impasto, decisamente superiore; la gallette infatti risulta molto più consistente, essendo più spessa delle altre, ma morbidissima al centro è più croccantina all’esterno.
I formaggi dentro erano eccezionali, le cipolle hanno dato un sapore pazzesco, e anche le patate gratinate era buonissime come i prosciutti di buona qualità. Nota positiva anche per l’insalata che come sempre è condita con vinagrette.
Per ultimo abbiamo diviso una crêpes chocolat maison, molto grande e piena di cioccolato, deliziosa.
In tutto abbiamo pagato 12 a testa, acqua inclusa, servizio veloce e personale molto gentile. Locale semplice e accogliente.
Spero di tornarci prima di andare via da Rennes.
