Beautiful quiet campsite with clean, modern facilities (love the showers), large private pitches with shade and a lovely friendly welcome from Fiona and Alasdair. Fabulous area for cycling and lots of places to visit in this quiet corner of France. We would highly recommend. Thank you Fiona and Alasdair. You are obviously passionate about what you do.

An amazing family run campsite in the heart of the Gers. Great host's, serving food several times a week. Campsite has all the amenities you want. Just outside a lovely village. Highly recommend

We had the most wonderful welcome at Le Domaine le Poteau, Allister and Fiona's place is so peaceful and lovely. Too bad we could only stay for one night. The camping is very clean and there is bread in the morning and a lovely town on walking distance. We will be back!

We rented both gites at the beginning of July to celebrate family birthdays. They were ideal for our purpose and had all that we needed to spend time as a family. They are private, clean, well equipped and have loads of space around for the grandchildren who were also delighted with the hammocks. The weather was very hot when we were there so the close proximity of the swimming pool was an added bonus.
Fiona and Alasdair are great hosts, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Both gites had very good welcome packs and they delivered delicious fresh bread and pastries every morning.
We would not hesitate to use these gites again.

Domaine Le Poteau…..Wow, Wow, Wow…, what a great site for an amazing chill. Fiona and Alasdair could not do enough for us, Scottish hospitality in Occitanie. Greeted with a glass of wine, nothing too much trouble for this couple, We spent 4 nights here, arrived Thursday and they told us about the local village restaurant special steak lunch on a Friday (La Loupiote), we were treated to an amazing 5 course lunch (with wine for €14.50) must book, check with Fiona for a reservation..

What a lovely discovery! We needed a one night stop and found this site by chance browsing the ACSI sites.
We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and once we were settled, we were offered a welcome drink, a really nice touch.
This is such a tranquil place, with a lovely village community, the village also has a nice little lake, snack bars, restaurant and a shop.
We wished we had time to stay for longer that our one night, and would without hesitation stay here again.
If you are looking for a nice quiet welcoming site with a great shower room and good clean facilities, put this site on your list

After 6 nights at Le Poteau, I can truly say it's the best campsite we've ever stayed at. The setting is utterly beautiful - full of fruit trees and quiet spaces, and two very friendly donkeys!

From the moment we arrived, Alasdair and Fiona made us feel totally at home - providing a glass of delicious local wine on arrival, and sharing their absolute wealth of knowledge on the local area. We chose to stay in the equipped tent, which had everything we could possibly have wanted for our six night stay: a lovely comfortable double bed, cooking equipment, coffee, the lot!

We were so well looked after, I'm not even sure we can tell people we went 'camping'. From the fresh pastries delivered every morning, to the stunning meal Alasdair whipped up on the Sunday night, we couldn't fault the service.

We will 100% be returning and would urge anyone who's dithering to go ahead and book ASAP!

What an amazing place - relax as soon as I enter, incredibly beautiful, quiet and just so French. We are staying in a serviced tent and it is superbly equipped with a full size, high quality double bed, my husband said best bed he's slept in! Praise indeed. We have just been to a local restaurant, five minutes away and it was absolute bliss, the food and environment devine. Returned to lie on our lounger to read and enjoy watching the bee eaters and the hoopoo - sorry about the spelling, but beautiful birds. Oh yes and forgot to mention the five star shower room that has been installed since last time we were here and the onsite massage I had this morning - this is heaven!!!!!

This is such a special place. It is rustic, but all the better for it. Very rural, but 10 minutes or so to a small town walking from site.
Very good facilities. Hot showers, soft toilet paper, soap in toilets. Hair dryer in shower I used plus very girlie sink, mirror and hairdryer. Hot water washing up, plus plugs, and a drainer. And this was a stay when weather was not so good. I think it would be unbelievably awesome when the weather was great. Owners so helpful and friendly. A welcoming glass of wine offered. How nice is that . Stayed for one night, but will most definitely stay again if in area. Recommend.

A beautiful and very well thought out campsite. Modern and spacious bathroom facilities that are kept immaculately clean. We have loved staying on 'our' pitch overlooking the valley and next to the donkeys! A very warm welcome from the owners who are pleased to share their knowledge of this delightful area of France. Will certainly be back.

We stayed for a week at the end of september in the larger gite and had a lovely time. The gite is very comfortable and Alasdair and Fiona made us very welcome, with a welcome basket of lovely things and we were able to pick our own figs, grapes and apples. A real treat. I loved the view of the village from our quiet and secluded verranda. Had a fab lunch in the village cafe and still cant quite get over the value for money. Kinda fell in love with this place and with Joel the donkey. Very happy to hear he's getting a girlfriend.

Just a little corner of heaven nestled in deepest Gascony. The accommodation was superb - we stayed in one of the Gites as we were out of the camping season, although the pitches seem large and well provided for too. The walks, the views, the wildlife, the friendliness of our welcome, all combined with a different pace of life to make this our most relaxing holiday.

We spent a very relaxing two weeks here in September 2017. Fiona and Alasdair are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The local produce - figs, quinces and wine were amazing!

It's an interesting area to visit - Bordeaux, Biarritz and Pau are within travelling distance - along with seeing where the Musketeers fought.

All in all, an ideal place for family and friends to relax and enjoy rural France.

Beautiful and relaxing place with amazing wildlife, we visited late September and had the whole campsite to ourselves. Alasdair and Fiona couldn't have been more welcoming.
Nice easy and pleasant walk into the village, Hopefully we will get to visit again next year.
