François Kouign Amann

This business specialises in a number of Breton cakes/pastries. I saw Gateau Breton, Kouign-Amann and Far Breton My experience of traditional Breton cakes/pasties is small, but, my experience of cakes/pastries in general is large, like me.
The Kouign-Amann (the first time I have had it) with apple were so good! Flaky buttery pastry with syrup throughout and apple. Put whipped cream on this, I'd die and go to heaven.
The Far Breton (also the first time I have had it) with apple, get warm caramel sauce put onto this, they do that. This is a joy to behold, people watch you eating it and start to queue at the counter.
I returned the next day and bought more, eating the Far Breton immediately. Also some Gateau Breton to take home to England for my parents.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with my questions and my poor French language.

Good kouign amman. Crisp, buttery, sugary. Around the corner they serve crepes.

The galettes were not burnt like in other places and thrle kouign aman was to die for! Great prices!

The people are lovely. My husband who loves kouign amann says 5 stars is only OK because we cannot give 6. It's sticky, buttery, and crispy and for the small ones, still hot from the oven. Just right.

Popped here because we saw a long queue of locals. The pastries here are so delicious and buttery!

Trouvez des crêpes/galettes en lot à Vannes n’est pas chose facile car la plupart des crêperies refusent de faire ce service. Mais chez François, on de très grande crêpe, peu sucrée, pas trop farineuse avec plutôt un très bon goût qui le hisse en haut du classement. On peut également se régaler de far (pommes, pruneaux) et du fameux Kouign Amann qui se bonifie avec le temps. L’une des meilleures adresses de la ville.

Toute première dégustation d'un kouign amann. En version portion individuelle (2,60€), c'est plus simple à manger. Aussitôt acheté, aussitôt mangé.
Et bien il est très bon. Croustillant, encore un peu tiède.

Incontournable à Vannes pour dégusté un kouign amann. Franchement c’est les meilleurs que j’ai pu manger c’est dernier jour. À faire sans hésiter.

Crêpes buonissima!!

Inizialmente volevamo qualcosa della boulangerie, ma onestamente nulla ci ha intrigato più di tanto. Svoltando l’angolo però abbiamo visto che facevano le crêpes e ci siamo fiondati. 😋
Io ho preso quella al caramello salato, buonissima; altri hanno mangiato classica alla nutella ed erano molto contenti. Prezzi onestissimi.
Super consigliata, anche perché è centralissima.

Juste excellent, meilleurs produits bretons et de loin. Les vendeurs ont toujours le sourire et sont très aimables. Ça sent la bonne humeur dans ce magasin (et le beurre) ! Je reviendrai à coup sûr. À bientôt !

Kouign Amann assez exceptionnels ! Vraiment délicieux

Ayant mangé des soit disant super Kouign Amann ailleurs en France, j’avais été déçu ( car l’aspect est toujours très appétissant). Mais ici: whaou ! C’est délicieux ! Je n’ai pas dit léger, on sait que ça ne l’est pas mais c’est vraiment très bon. Merci de m’avoir réconcillié avec le Kouign Amann. 🤩
