B&B La Mirande de Saint-Clar

Hilde and Filiep are wonderful hosts, warm, welcoming and very good company. La Mirande is a beautiful old house, carefully and stylishly renovated but preserving the original features, it enjoys spectacular panoramic views across the Gers countryside. Rooms are large and comfortable, breakfasts generous and a delight.

Our stay at La Mirande was fantastic! A very significant building in the beautiful Bastide town of Saint-Clar, sensitively restored and upgraded with a real eye for detail. Fabulous breakfasts outside, under the fruit trees, with views down the valley as far as the eye could see. The rooms are stylish and comfortable and there is a swimming pool! Highly recommended, we'll certainly be back.

I have just spent 6 nights in this idyllic B&B, I would love to have stayed longer.
Hilde and Filiep, the owners and hosts to this magical property could not have done more to ensure I had the most wonderful time. Hilde’s attention to detail from the elegant finishings to sublime breakfasts overlooking the picturesque rural countryside were outstanding.

This was heaven!
My best friend and I stayed here, in Saint Clar, for a wedding we had in Avezan. We had little idea where we were staying but, from the moment we arrived, it was clear we had found somewhere very special.
Hilde and Phillippe's beautiful house sits at the end of Saint Clar, with stunning views of Gramond in the distance and the idyllic surroundings. The swimming pool, hot-tub and garden could not provide a more inviting setting for an evening drink - and we did not refuse!
The house's interior is stunning, from the Mondriaan-inspired glasswork, to the incredibly restored loft-space, this is a house that has been designed with care, attention and style. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and very quiet at night. The bed was extremely comfy.
Hilde and Phillippe were beyond kind. They looked after us all phenomenally well all weekend! We were a group of 10 in the end going from the house to the wedding and they made sure we had everything we needed, including delicious and wonderfully prepared breakfasts, lifts to the wedding, and plenty of refreshment in the fridge too.
I cannot wait to return to the picturesque Saint Clar and to the most genial of hosts - Hilde and Phillippe. Their B&B was just perfect!

Ilse and I had another relaxing and enjoyable stay at La Mirande. Enjoying Hilde en Filiep’s hospitality, the stylish room, the breakfast with a view, the calm of the site and the region’s gastronomy. Even the rain showers didn’t affect any of this!

Hilde and Philippe Bed and Breakfast is an absolute gem that offers a tranquil escape into nature's embrace. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning infinity pool and the heavenly countryside views that surrounded us. It was a slice of paradise.

The bedrooms at Hilde and Philippe's were not only lovely but also homely and relaxing. The beds were large and exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful and rejuvenating night's sleep. The attention to detail and cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home.

Each morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast prepared by Hilde, a true culinary genius. The selection of both sweet and savory delights, including homemade jams, quiches, and puddings, was plentiful. It was a feast for the senses and a testament to Hilde's culinary expertise.

To add to the charm of our stay, we decided to explore the area on electric road bikes, which we rented from the property. Embarking on a 40-kilometer amble through the quiet roads, we were rewarded with even more breathtaking views that left us in awe. It was an unforgettable experience and a great way to immerse myself in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Philippe organised the bike, helmet, water and a bag which was a lovely touch.

The location of Hilde and Philippe Bed and Breakfast couldn't have been better. Just a short two-minute walk away was Saint Clar Town, a beautiful place with a great selection of restaurants, a friendly bar, a wonderful boulangerie, and a wholesome health store. We enjoyed exploring the town and interacting with the friendly and helpful staff.

Additionally, the property itself had fantastic amenities. The communal area offered stunning views that took our breath away, and the outside kitchen area was very useful. Complete with a coffee machine, fridge, cooking appliances, microwave, and sink, it made meal preparation a breeze. This area also has drinks to purchase when thirsty. The convenience of having an additional toilet near the pool area was a thoughtful touch.

Hilde and Philippe have created a slice of heaven and we cannot wait to return to their wonderful place where nothing was too much trouble.

We were only at La Mirande for two nights, but we wish we could have stayed longer. It is an incredible house in a beautiful part of France, run by two absolutely brilliant hosts.

We were over for a wedding nearby but we'd booked late, it was all a bit chaotic and I'd been emailing Hilde and Filiep, who own the B&B with all kinds of annoying questions - all of which were answered with patience and good humour.

When we arrived in France (late because the flight was delayed) Filiep called me to say that it was no problem and that we'd be able to get access to the property. When we arrived that night, food had been specially left out for us - fresh bread, cheese and wine. It was such a lovely touch after a stressful journey.

The rooms themselves are really light, cool and airy - impeccably designed. Breakfast is eaten under the shade of trees in the beautiful garden, overlooking nearby fields, and is sensational - there's tons of amazing local produce but also a few home-cooked surpises - cakes, quiches and even crépes. Delicious.

All of the above is great, as is the amazing value for money, but the real stars of the show are Hilde and Filiep - two of the lovliest hosts you could wish for.

We can't wait to go back.

Do not even hesitate, just book! Hilde is amazing and went above & beyond! It really felt like home. She has also done a stunning job on renovating the property, it is gorgeous & so comfortable! Meals were incredible. Felt like we were in a dream, will definitely be back!

We were welcomed by Hilde and Filip as if we were old friends, and over three days, we became friends. They were gracious hosts, making sure we were comfortable inside and outside the house. We enjoyed sitting on the lawn for breakfasts and afternoon naps under the trees, with stunning views in every direction. Breakfasts were delicious and generous, with Hilde bringing a special dish to the table each morning, after setting out an enormous buffet. Hilde works magic in the kitchen and she and Filip invited us for dinner one evening, joining two other couples that were also staying at the B&B. Dinner was delicious on the terrace, using local produce and wines, under the stars with candlelight.

La Mirande is located on an elevated, quiet corner of the village of Saint-Clar, with views of the agricultural countryside in every direction, punctuated by chateaux topped hills, and the colonnaded center of Saint-Clar, and it’s Halle, within a minute walk. The house has been recently renovated and is thoughtfully designed, with just right high end amenities, plenty of towels, a lovely pool and hot tub, and upstairs lounge for guests to enjoy quiet moments.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! We will come back to La Mirande!

We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Hilde en Filiep die ook altijd paraat staan om wat leuke/goede tips te geven over de omgeving en leuke restaurantjes..
La Mirande ademt rust uit, je hebt er een schitterend uitzicht over de glooiende velden bezaaid met zonnebloemen, hier overheerst de stilte.
De kamers zijn ruim en voorzien van alle comfort.
Het ontbijt is superlekker en varieert ook in aanbod.
Gedreven uitbaters die hun gasten echt willen laten genieten, dankjewel!

Bij aankomst wacht je een warme en hartelijke ontvangst door Hilde en/of Filip. Het uitzicht beneemt je onmiddellijk de adem. Er is alleen maar bewondering en verwondering tijdens het turen in het oneindige. De ideale plek om te onthaasten en tot rust te komen. Het maakt je stil. De kamers zijn heel verzorgd en stralen eveneens rust uit. Heel stijlvol ingericht! Het ontbijt is elke keer opnieuw super lekker en gevarieerd met elke morgen een extra surprise van het huis. Je kan er heerlijk zwemmen of genieten in de spa met weerom het betoverende uitzicht. In de tuin zijn er verschillende rustplaatsen. Lekker in de zon, of liever in de schaduw onder de bomen, met weerom rondom jou het prachtige uitzicht. Er zijn gekoelde dranken beschikbaar. De table d' hôte die aangeboden wordt is een echte aanrader. Tegen een verwaarloosbare prijs geniet je van een verzorgd en heerlijk viergangen menu, die je samen met andere gasten en Hilde en Filip nuttigt. Dit allemaal in een huiselijke, warme en ontspannen sfeer Een lach, een traan, samen, liever alleen, ...... alles kan , niets moet!

Das Haus und der Garten mit Pool waren traumhaft schön.
Die Location ist ein perfekter Ort zur Erholung, zu Fuß oder per Rad.
Die Vermieter haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und erfüllten alle möglichen Wünsche. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und lecker, die Marmelade selbstgemacht. Ei und Pfannkuchen auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Das war einer unserer schönsten Aufenthalte!
Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wil je even tot rust komen in een prachtige locatie dan moet je zeker in B&B la Mirande zijn. Hilde is een fantastische gastvrouw die je laat verwennen en verrassen van het ontbijt tot de table 'd hote. Advies van de mooiste fiets en wandelroutes, musea en stadbezoeken , restaurants krijg je allemaal van Hilde. Genieten van het zwembad, jacuzzi en het prachtig verzicht geven je energie. Wij komen zeker terug!

B en B La Mirande saint Clar is een echte aanrader. De ontvangst door Hilde en Filip is hartelijk, de keuken is eerlijk en heerlijk, het uitzicht magnifiek. Een plek waar je jezelf kunt zijn, tot rust kunt komen, genieten, onthaasten.....
Het totale plaatje klopt, alles voelt daar zeer goed aan!
Ik kom er heel graag terug!

In La Mirande de Saint-Clar word je door de gastvrouw en gastheer hartelijk ontvangen.
De kamers zijn ruim en comfortabel.
Voor de liefhebbers een prachtig zwembad.
Genietplaatsen in de zon en de schaduw.
Lekker ontbijt met elke dag een verrassing.
Zeker een aanrader!

Verblijf was gewoon top. Ik wist niet dat de hemel op aarde bestond maar dit was het in elk geval wel. Prachtige locatie met mega mooi zicht. De uitbaters zijn gewoon super vriendelijk, behulpzaam en super gastvrij. Ontbijt was het beste dat wij ooit hebben gehad in een B&B en hebben ook op aanvraag enkele keren s’avonds kunnen genieten van de culinaire talenten van de gastvrouw.

We verbleven voor de tweede maal in La Mirande de St. Clar.
Het was weer volop genieten van de mooie accommodatie, het uitzicht, de rust, het heerlijke ontbijt en diner en vooral de familiale sfeer met Hilde en Filiep.
Kortom, het was top !

Herzlicher Empfang durch Hilde und Filiep, multilingual. Saubere sehr schöne Zimmer, sehr bequeme Betten, ein Frühstück welches keine Wünsche offen lässt, Garten und Pool mit einem herrlichem Blick, man kann die Seele baumeln lassen und möchte garnicht mehr weg, alles in einem pittoresken kleinem Dorf mit Bäcker, Restaurants usw. Wir waren mit mehreren Freunden für 5 Nächte dort, alle mit der gleichen Meinung.
