Wally's Coffee

On my visit to Lille., visited Wally’s Coffee for brunch. Was promptly seated, the service was prompt, the food was fresh and tasty, the coffee well brewed. What could one ask for.. will be back.

Wally’s coffee is one of the best places to have a brunch in Lille. The place is brimming with guests in the morning so make sure you reserve your table otherwise you’ll have to wait.
We ordered a variety of brunch items (Avocado Toast, African Chicken Toast, Fruity Pancake) and everything was good.
Their cake slices are huge so be mindful. The service was bit on a slower side mainly because there were so many guests to cater to.

Delicious coffee and dessert. This small storefront has a roastery in the back for their own coffee and a lovely greenhouse area on a 2nd level to enjoy sitting in. I highly recommend a visit.

Great coffee, great food, good price but also super friendly, warm and welcoming staff.

Our bill:
We shared pancakes and still couldn't finish them, latte, filter and espresso for 24€ so for €12 per person we were very happy.

Coffee:
Very very good. On par with any 3rd wave specialty coffee shop you could name. Plus, nothing beats an owner-operated single location cafe/roastery.

Space:
HIDDEN CAFE! Walk through the entrance and the roasting space and the shop just keeps going and going. One of the most unique and inspiring spaces I have ever seen in coffee. It is full on natural light, on multiple levels, has 5 or more different sections painted in different colours and decorated with plants and comfortable furniture. Yet it still feels very cosy. Would visit in both summer and winter.

Staff/Owner:
Every staff member was so welcoming and friendly, I didn't feel bad about not knowing any French. Waly was on the espresso machine and said a friendly hello. When we asked which beans were on filter he brought us a bag and was so friendly he let us ask him a million questions about himself and the shop. This boy from Senegal had nothing but a backpack and has built a life, business and work family here in Lille and I think he genuinely loves making food and coffee for his customers.

Do yourself a favour and visit, I would 100% be a regular if I lived in Lille.

I recommend to visit. very cozy place.

there is a bright room under a glass roof, there are balconies, there are quiet lounge areas to seat alone and to read. either very light, or with muted light, but you'll like it.

☕ cappuccino 3,2 € and it’s very decent as for France. I'll definitely go to lunch, coz they cooks here too delicious)

Delicious food and a huge array of desserts. Their freakshakes are awesome!

If you're going to est there, then the freakshakes need to be shared.

We went there with a bunch of friends on a sunny Saturday. Everything about the place was fantastic.

Forever updating and changing. But the great coffee and food, plus excellent staff remain. Visiting Lille? Put it on your list for coffee and cake breaks. Breakfasts, when served a FABULOUS.

What a great find - a little bit quirky and shabby chic with plenty of light from the glass roof. Only had Americano and a chocolate chip cookie but both excellent (if a little expensive €6.80 for coffee & cookie). Sat on a comfortable sofa, but there was plenty of seating and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

This place is definitely worth a visit. We mainly had drinks with a couple of cakes, but saw the food that was being served and wished I was hungry!!! It looked incredible 😍 the iced caramel lattes were good. Atmosphere was relaxed, but very hot inside. Air conditioning needed maybe? But well worth the stop in Lille

Lovely place, cozy location and great coffee. Salmon toast was very good and so the pancakes - and the kids loved the nutella milkshakes 😂

I came here a few times during my stay at Lille. The ordering/payment system via the QR code is really smooth. Very tasty food and coffee, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. It's a great place to bring a laptop and work for a while also.

Absolutely an amazing place to go for breakfast, lunch or cake.

After a weekend of exploring Lille, we just wanted a simple breakfast before we hit the road.

But oh boy... Wally's Coffee made was the cherry on the cake. Me and my husband boh took the brunch menu, a cold drink, a hot drink, a toast (the avocado and the eggs&bacon one) and piece of cake. They were very DELISCIOUS!

The toasts were big enough for lunch, with alot of full flavours. The orange juicy fresh made and the cake, that cake was begging to be eaten, it was very very good.

The decor is simple, but also enjoyable and relaxed to have a lunch.
Staff was very friendly and the food came quick.

If I ever find myself in Lille again, this is the place I go for breakfast and lunch!

Really cool place with a nice creative vibe. Only got an iced coffee but it was Delish and the staff was super friendly :)

What a fantastic space! With the Roastery in the front of the cafe it makes you really appreciate the space and you want to walk in to find out what else is in there. Very well designed layout with the coffee bar upstairs. The coffee is roasted to perfection by Waly, it makes you proud to be supporting speciality coffee. The staff and incredibly kind and friendly and the whole vibe is so relaxed and chill. The food portions are very generous and the ingredients are high quality. The type of place you want to stay in all day. Waly and his colleagues are very friendly and always happy to chat. Can't wait to come back soon!

Great options for coffee, sweetness, breakfast and lunch. Sunday brunch starting @11:30. Would definitely return here. Kind staff.

Love the milkshakes and they have a great variety of desserts too. One of my favourite coffees in Lille.

Amazing experience as always! Great homemade food (in generous portion) delicious coffee and great service. We'll be back for sure!
