Racine Restaurant

We were so lucky to be able to get a last minute reservation here. It was the best meal we had during our trip throughout France. The vegetarian menu was just as well thought out as the regular menu, which I appreciate. Every dish was a feast for the senses. We were also delighted to drink a bottle of wine from the local winery we visited the next day. I would highly recommend to anyone to book a table here - it was memorable and we will certainly return if back in the area.

Our three-course dinner was a lovely experience. Plenty of subtle tastes within the dishes to make them interesting and different. An original menu. Food tasted exquisite.

Where do you start..?
I have been to this restaurant several times now and always enjoyed the meals served.

Before you think about booking a table you firstly need to think what you want from your meal. The chef and his wife are very true to several causes including local produce, the Gers, fine dining in a comfortable environment and definitely not wanting anything to be main stream. Once you understand that and appreciate that is their way then you will truly enjoy the meals and environment they create. Home made lemonade, no standard coke or pepsi drinks, local wine with organic choices no burgers or fries here it is all just great food.

My wife and daughter had an sparks starter while I had carpacio - fantastic. For mains a confite pork dish and hake with lentils. Followed by the most amazing deserts.
The surroundings and decor are all very good with lovely little touches and best of all because this restaurant is only a reflection of the chef and his wife they understand everything about their food and wine and all the bits from the lights to the pictures reflect their love of the Gers and the local food.
If you want a great meal on the Gers go here. If you want chain type meals go to the chains.

Then there is the price - €18 for 3 courses - €102 for three of us including a bottle of wine, soft drinks and coffees, makes this the best fine dining value I have ever experienced. If they did 6 stars this place would get it from me.

Absolutely fabulous! So much care and creativity by the chef! The staff were excellent and very friendly. He described making his own miso which involved a process of over a year.

We enjoyed all three courses and will certainly return. I highly recommend a visit to Racine.

We took a December vacation to Gers and were lucky enough to get a reservation here one of the nights we were in the area. The dinner was absolutely wonderful, service was great, and I can't recommend them enough.

From the warm welcome by the multilingual staff, to the increasingly refined cuisine, this is a great value restaurant in the heart of lovely Lectoure.

Delightful, interesting food, prepared with great skill and care. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is relaxed, and there is great attention to detail paid to every aspect of the dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We haven’t had such pleasant experience from a long time. The food is delicious, prepared with high quality local products and the plates are so well presented. The staff is very friendly yet professional. We highly recommend Racine restaurant.

Really creative food (well-cooked, well-flavoured, original whilst avoiding bourgeois fussiness). I've three favourite restaurants in this region (about 50 kms around Lectoure) Racine is one of them and has been for quite a while.

A great restaurant in Lectoure. Innovative food at a very reasonable price. Great atmosphere and lovely people. We drove 2hs to get there and it was well worth the trip.
