It is rustic and beautifully renovated, retaining the original castle construction, charm and atmosphere.
The restaurant is world class, definitely worth a few Michelin stars.
The staff are nice and very helpful.

We stayed here two nights, after booking via booking.com (booked the same day as arrival as last minute stay).
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, we had originally booked a standard room, but was kindly upgraded to a suite, which was beautifully decorated in modern but comforting décor, and was very spacious.
We had dinner on the first night - modern French menu with influences from Asia. The food overall was good (starters were lovely), however, we did find the mains to be lacking slightly in seasoning and flavour, and the sauce with the pork was a little thick, bitter & had a slight skin to it, but these are small criticisms (personally have a refined palate as parents within the catering industry who have owed various Michelin star restaurants) also appreciate we were eating on a mid-week night when restaurant was quieter.
Breakfast in the morning had a wide selection and again staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The spa, staff again were friendly, and wide selection of treatment options (using a variety of high-tech machines). The swimming pool was lovely especially when used during the thunderstorm (inside pool).
Beautiful hotel, as it has a lovely modern, upscale decor, however very comfortable and casual which complements its historical building, and it’s in a great location for the exploring the area. The staff are the real gems - would stay again and recommend.

We discovered the hotel during our trip through Perigord and Dordogne. It was wonderful to spend a few days in this beautiful hotel. It is worth noting the great professionalism and kindness of the entire team. We will definitely be back. It has been a great pleasure!

Such a beautiful Hotel. Our room was exceptional, much more than expected, we were in the Hirondelle junior suite, lovely spacious room. We ate dinner at the Hotel one evening, very tasty traditional food with a twist, and great service.
The pool was a nice addition and the size didn't take away from the much needed dip in the hot weather we had.
Reception staff also very helpful.

Beautiful place inside and out. Our server was attentive, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the food and drink on the menu. The food was exceptional and it was amazing that the chef came out and spoke to us which made the whole experience feel so personal. A really lovely evening for our last night in France and we are hoping to come back to the area and this restaurant again

We had a meal at the restaurant, and it was superb. The service we were offered was second to none. We can recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to have a great meal in a very beautiful environment.

We loved every aspect of our stay, especially the helpful and friendly staff. beautiful 18th century building, nicely restored, excellent restaurant, perfect location for a Lascaux cave visit.

This place is totally exceptional, wonderfully decorated with lovely rooms in a beautiful French town - could not recommend it more.

As an additional recommendation if you’re eating lunch slightly later in the day then I’d come here, if you’re from the UK you won’t believe the extent to which people will not serve lunch here (and other french small towns) after 1.30. I believe they serve until 4pm here and it’s fantastic.

Also if you’re looking at booking something more than just a room here Jessica is absolutely exceptional over email and in person, so helpful and professional so would another sting to a frankly exceptional bow

A beautiful Hotel and restaurant, delicious food and great atmosphere. The service could improve but as I would highly recommend their dinner menu, well worth the price!!!
