Hotel De La Grotte

The hotel is in a charming building on the banks of the Vézère (river) running through Montignac. Around the corner from the hotel there is a footpath along the riverbank, and it is situated conveniently close to the touristic heart. The building was the original city post relay, where merchants would stop while transporting goods. The hotel is located about 5 minutes drive from the replica Grotte (cave) Lascaux.

We visited on New Year's Eve in 2019. We were treated like family, and it was an unforgettable experience. We would return in a heartbeat. The restaurant was closed for renovations.

The owner (Annie) was the fourth generation from her family who have run the establishment; she was born in the building. She is extremely kind, and ensured that we were able to get a meal, when no restaurants in the town were open.

Accueil chaleureux, infiniment sympathique. Cadre de bon goût, on s'y sent chez soi. Je recommande les yeux fermés.

Accueil incroyablement chaleureux

Un lieu sympathique, un très bon accueil de la part de la responsable ,lit et draps propres dans l'ensemble, petit déjeuner copieux pris en terrasse avec un fort potentiel .
Je me prononce pas sur la restauration n est pas essayé.
Point positif pour visiter Lascaux 4,moins de un kilomètre....

Hôtel assez atypique tant dans la gestion que dans la décoration. Pour amateurs de charme désuet. Très bon petit déjeuner. Bien situé dans Montignac. On peut aller à Lascau à pied.
