Café de Paris - Chez Boubier 1930

Stumbled up this lovely place as all other places were shut at 3pm on a Sunday. Very limited menu which tells you what they do they do VERY well! Steak and chips and we had a vegan with us who was very happy with her vegan steak. Beautiful deco interior and very friendly English speaking staff/owner. Merci!!

Super attentive staff! You get 3 portions of fries, but make sure to leave some room for dessert too. Would recommend the creme brûlée, deliciously rich vanilla flavor, but too big to finish by yourself.

There’s a single menu item but what an item. The « beurre de Paris » tastes amazing, you can even buy some to takeaway. For desert, we had profiteroles, which I recommend. The staff was friendly and attentive. The scenery offers you sights on the « vieux Lille », while not being as busy and overwhelming as the great plaza. Overall great evening, we’ll come back.

Beautiful lunch and great relaxing atmosphere

We saw a tiktok video about this restaurant so we had to check it out and we are happy that we did. Food was very delicous. I especially loved the dessert the creme brulee.

Simply fantastic! They only have two predefined menus (entrecote or vegetarian), but the food was amazing. We would absolutely come back.

The service is excellent. We changed our minds many times when ordering but they were always smiling and very quick.
