We booked Cae Llwyn Breaks via Sykes holidays and was not disappointed! We stayed for one week in the kingfisher glamping tent and I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays we have had! The glamping tent itself was lovely, very high spec and tidy. On arrival the tent was very warm with electric heaters in and considering we stayed in Feb we had to turn them off at times as we were so warm! Lovely rooms, double bed in one and a double bunk bed in the other. The kitchen was well kitted out and the lounge area was comfy and relaxing. The hot tub was brilliant and we used it everyday, I loved relaxing in it early in the morning and watching the red kites gliding around and then late night was lovely looking at the stars! The star gazing net is a lovely touch outside and was very relaxing to lie on in the evenings and star gaze with the children. There is a well kept separate toilet/shower room near the tents, they are cleaned everyday, heated and very tidy. The site itself is well kept and the owners and staff are about everyday making sure it is tidy. Onsite there is a playground for the children, some goats and horses and also fresh eggs to buy (these were beautiful and all but one were double yolkers, winner!!). I highly recommend this place and will be recommending it to family and friends. We will definitely be back soon!!

We had a lovely family holiday here, staying in Oak Tree View. It was very tidy and clean. The hot tub was checked everyday and the location was quiet but within driving distance of shops

First time experience staying in a lodge/cabin, and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Buckbarn and the accommodation was perfect, very clean and a great size for us 2 (me and the wife). Be perfect size for 2 adults and 2 children as the bed in the Mez area would be perfect. Kitchen area is fitted out and had a night where we cooked and stayed in. With the surrounding views being beautiful plus the sheep and lambs was an enjoyable area.
The hot tub was great always on from arrival so nice to relax in it at night.
The Buckbarn was very hot on arrival as the underfloor heating was on.
If you arrive with the same situation I recommend turning it off and opening the door and a couple windows to cool it down or it will stay hot in there.
As for food there is a big Tesco and Aldi 15min drive away where in the town is Gino's Pizzeria a place I recommend to eat.
There is no signal via phones or WiFi in the Buckbarn, believe this is due to the metal cladding, as if you stick your phone out of a window or door or in the hot tub you gain signal. O2 signal isnt great.
Recommend to the owners with the Buckbarn if it is possible to put a WiFi extender/mesh inside the Buckbarns wire a wired connection to the main hub the WiFi would be perfect.
We purchased ourselves Monopoly and recommend a board game for some entertainment and have a detox from technology.
Definitely will be returning is beautiful there. The photos don't do it justice.
If you haven't been to the area before would suggest going to Elan Valley £3 for all day parking anywhere on the whole estate and not only do you have the Dams just the driving around is an experience with the beautiful views.

Excellent lodges, clean and fully equipped with everything needed. The accommodation is second to none and the views are outstanding. The hot tub is an added bonus and is great. Ideal place for R&R.

Hot tub was amazing after walking the Elan Valley and the fire pit was so nice to have lit as the sun went down.

Lovely stay in a glamping tent with kitchen, sofa, electrics and a hot-tub. Peaceful location, despite some noisy sheep in the mornings. Tents are nicely separated from each other and have their own family hammock and access to some very clean and we'll presented toilet/shower blocks. Can get very cold at night, although there is a heater in the tent which warms it up quickly. Usual tent issues of flies, noise permeating the walls and limited space, but all of that should be expected when you hire a tent. Location is beautiful, Steve and his family are incredibly helpful, the kitchen is a real bonus and the hot tub... Well, if you haven't spent a late evening in a hot tub watching the stars in Wales, which is famed for it's dark skies policy, then you are truly missing out. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Arrived late after a long drive and there was wine waiting for us chilling in the fridge and fresh eggs ready for breakfast in the morning. Loved relaxing in the hot tub and watching the lambs and birds. Stunning scenery in nearby Elan valley and dams. One of the best lodges we have stayed in, would 100% recommend!

The sleep pod was incredible and the scenery takes your breath away. Suffer with not being able to sleep for long periods, a solid 6hrs everynight as it is so quite. Will definitely be booking to come back.

what an amazing cottage. weve just returned home after a 2 week stay here From start to finish everything was perfect. what a find. there are 2 cottages side by side on the owners farmland. the neighbours are sheep (who regularly came to peer over the fence), chickens and cows. the building is well insulated as we didnt hear any noises from either the other cottage or the farm. the hottub was wonderful. Steve met us on arrival and showed us around. We had milk, butter, sweets, flowers, welshcakes and fresh eggs from the farm, tea, coffee, sugar and a bottle of wine waiting for us. what a lovely welcoming surprise. thank you Steve and Dawn for everything. The cottage is 5 miles from the nearest village Rhayader and 7 miles from Llandodrid wells. There are lots of wonderful places to visit. Its the perfect place to unwind and relax. With breath taking views, wonderful walks and a lovely mountain drive to the coast. We have all enjoyed every minute of our holiday and really didnt want to leave. The phone signal was fantastic and we had 4g wherever we went, even over the mountain drive, so we didnt need wifi. It was hot while we were there, but there are ceiling fans in every room to keep it cool, for cold days and nights, theres under floor heating, which we never needed to use.If you want a break away in rural Wales, with peace and quiet, then this is the place to go. Absolutey perfect 🏴??????🏴??????💖💖

Very relaxing place, open skies, hills, red kites by the dozen (or the hundred as you pass the 'feeding station' on the way to Rhayader). Steve the owner is a lovely, friendly guy. For the fly fisherman it's a good base with access to the upper Wye and it's tributaries. Some excellent grayling fishing is to be had further down stream Towards Llandrindod Wells. A good year round retreat for all country lovers.
