SPAR Rhayader

I love this shop. Its very overpriced but the staff are wonderful! I had an issue and the manager was right there making it right and was lovely throughout. The till staff are always smiling. My favorite shop.

A typical Spar with a good range of products and a reasonable price (expect to pay a little more than a big supermarket). The lady behind the counter was very helpful, polite and friendly - that put a smile on my face on a tiring day. I’ll be back.

More expensive than a big supermarket but that’s how SPAR operates. Clean store and friendly staff, what more do you need.

Amazed to see they had Mr Beast chocolate bars. 3 x varieties at £2.49 each. When we decided to buy one, we were quite excited to see what it would be like, thinking it may taste like Hershey's. The member of staff on the till smiled, and said something along the lines of, 'wait until you try it's, which implied to us it would be bad! 😪 Maybe not a great way to generate sales, but she was being honest. Fortunately for us we enjoyed it and thought it was very good 👍. We had the bar with puffed rice in it.

Other than that, the store looked well stocked and staff came to open another till as a queue started to form.

All the staff has been replaced which is absolutely horrible, it doesn't look like a spar inside anymore at all, I hate how it feels so creepy in their since the new people took over.
Definitely staying away as it doesn't feel like a spar anymore and the fact the new people are so unfamiliar and very offish. Really wish they kept some of the original staff so the place didn't feel so dodgy
