Lon Lodges

We've just stayed in Sycamore Lodge. It's in a pretty, quiet location with an unspoilt view of the surrounding hills. The lodge is spacious, comfortable and extremely well maintained. It was spotlessly clean and the best equipped we've ever found. The owner takes obvious pride and makes an effort to be hospitable (pint of milk in the fridge and complimentary Welsh cakes)! The hot tub is nice, and checked every day. The large TV with freesat and WiFi (approx. 50 Mbps) are handy.
We liked the effort to provide maps of local walks. Good base for cycling as there is even a lockable shed.
Definately lives up to the 'five star' billing. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Just finished a winter break at Ash Lodge - the property is lovely, clean and warm. Attention to detail is excellent - from daily hot tub checks, to filling the bird feeding station and the goodies left for our arrival. The hot tub was an added luxury in which we enjoyed star gazing. We had a nice walk round the farm along the river to the pond….the sheep seemed very friendly! Great communication from the owners - we felt well looked after.

Beautiful lodge with fantastic views. If you're looking for a secluded spot with a loved one then this is a perfect place to stay. The hot tub is positioned perfectly to watch the sun set and the lodge provides everything you need. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are super comfy. Kerena was very friendly and even left lovely gifts such as Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine for our stay. Highly recommended for a UK getaway.

Fantastic lodge in a beautiful secluded location. Kerena was very welcoming and helpful. The lodge was clean and lacked nothing, the hot tub was superb and maintained daily. WiFi was excellent. The views were breathtaking and wildlife amazing. Will definately stay again. Thank you Kerena and Stephen.

The lodge was immaculately presented.
Lots of little extras that made it special.
Lovely Welsh throws and blankets.
Hot tub was also in an immaculate condition.
The surroundings were breath taking.5 of us ladies had a wonderful weekend.
The owner was very warm and welcoming.
Would definitely recommend it.

Perfect for a relaxing break, Sycamore Lodge is finished to a very high standard and the area is beautiful with loads of wildlife and stunning scenery.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Lon Lodges and it was absolutely beautiful. So calm, serene and natural a location with the natural wood burning for warmth. We didn't even make use of the fire pit and pizza oven! I cannot recommend this highly enough, the owner left us a honeymoon welcome package and was so helpful when we'd lost our wallet. If I could give 10 out of 5 stars I would.

Beautiful setting and a gorgeous lodge. Well looked after and clean. Has everything you'd need. I'd bring a ln extra towel though, just for hot tub.
The owner who pops over (doesn't disturb you) every morning to clean out the tub and do bins etc is very friendly.
An excellent weekend with me and my mates.
Suitable for families and groups.

Loved my holiday here so much! Was allowed dogs when we went (they were going to cancel allowing dogs) but as we kept the dog behaved the owner was kind enough to allow us back with our dog which is amazing! Lodge so clean and felt right at home. Owner explained where everything was , how to use everything (especially the hot tub) . Was quick to get back to us if we had any problems . Can't wait to go back again !

Never been to a place like it! Absolutely beautiful with lovely views to wake up to. Very peaceful and quiet. My 2 year old twins throughly enjoyed the weekend break and so did we! The lodge was immaculate and had everything you needed. Felt so luxurious.. I can’t wait to return in the future x

Myself and partner stayed at the Safari Lodge, it was absolutely perfect! In the middle of nowhere, but needed nothing as the hosts have a very keen eye for detail and provide you with more than enough utensils, tea coffee ect, which we did not expect. Extremely clean, hot tub wonderful on a clear cold starry night.
Back home with the holiday blues now as we didnt want it to end. A wonderful break, if you are reading these reviews, just book, you wont be disappointed! Laura & Adam

There aren't enough stars to rate this beautiful place. The owners have a rare, genuine desire for you to enjoy all aspects of this accomodation and to have an experience you will never forget. They cater for your every need and the place is spotless and cosy. The hot tub is amazing and the views of the night sky are amazing on a cloudless night. Great local walks and scenery if you want 'active' or just a lovely place to chill-out away from the busy world. Can't recommend highly enough. I have rebooked already...

I won’t beat about the bush this is, hands down, the best self-catering property that we have ever stayed in. I has everything you could want from a holiday home, not just in terms of space, furnishings and facilities but other things that you probably wouldn’t expect and you are bound to find that you have taken something that you needn’t have because it comes as part of the package. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and live only a short distance away if you need them for anything, which is unlikely; they are committed to recycling, the shed has various different bins in which to put your assorted household rubbish and there are charging points if you drive an electric vehicle. The hot-tub is a dream and sitting in the hot water in the sunshine is great experience. There are superb views and although you are off the beaten track the town of Rhayader (pronounced Raider) is a 5-10 minute drive away, close enough for convenience but far enough away for it not to be intrusive. If what you are looking for is a comfortable holiday where you can relax in peace and quiet, which we were, then Lon Lodges has my unqualified recommendation and I will definitely be returning in the future but book early because it is very popular.

Amazing lodge with beautiful scenery!!! Was met by the owner when we arrived who was so welcoming even with Covid restrictions & pouring with rain. 100% reccommend to stay if your ever visiting Wales - immaculate & fantastic lodge.

Fantastic place to stay. Our three girls loved playing in the garden and watching the wildlife. Comfortable and warm. With a very friendly welcome. We will be back again.

Fabulous place everything you probably need and more, very friendly and helpful couple. fantastic scenery wonderful trips out n about.
Hopefully returning next year

This is my second visit and it's still one of the best lodges I've stayed in while in Wales. With a hot tub and lovely views it's a great place to stay.

Had a great stay for a week with Daughter & 3 Granddaughters ,lovely cosy /comfy /spotlessly clean Well equiped for all our needs, grandaughters loved the hot tub. would highly recommend.Thank you 😀.
