Lamb and Flag Inn-Bar-Grill

First time visiting this area and found the Lamb and Flag Inn. We called in today for a drink and a meal .The interior is how you would expect from a old pub and the owners have managed to retain its charm which we loved.The staff are very friendly and when our meals came,they were very nicely presented and tasty. I had a chicken meal and my partner choose the vegetable lasagne which he said was excellent. Definitely think we will be coming back and another opportunity to explore this lovely area of Wales.

Beautiful food. Staff went above and beyond to cater for my needs. I'm having chemotherapy and can only have herbal tea and honey. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Nice, newly refurbished dining area off to the side of the main pub.

They were very accommodating to our large group (30 people) that dropped in on them for lunch unannounced.
Food was great, the burgers were tasty, the lasagne looked amazing and the bacon & cheese smother fries were great.

Great to see a pub with an interesting menu. Great service, tasty food and good portions. Will be back next time we're in Rhayader.

Very nice room. Small but very practical. Everything very clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Good beer and the fish & chips were exceptionally good. The beer tasted very good and the atmosphere in the pub was very good. Sure that evening Wales won against England in rugby. Thanks for the great experience.

What a well run and welcoming pub. A warm greating from the staff on our arrival, service excellent and food exceptional value for money. My wife and I had the chicken, ham and leek pie, with chips and peas, cooked perfectly and good generous portions of each, washed down with some well kept ciders. This establishment does get very busy and as we found out a few days earlier, booking is essential at busier times. Great work the Lamb and Flag and thank you to your staff for a job well done, much impressed and have no problem recommending you.

Excellent genrous Sunday roast here, all cooked fresh & every veg known to man on the plate!! You will not be disappointed! 😋🍻

Good rooms and a nice pub downstairs with some very friendly locals. Get yourself a massive breakfast roll and head off to the beautiful Elan valley in the morning. Can’t complain.

Food, service, and cost were all absolutely amazing. Could not fault the waiting time, the food that arrived, the quality of the food, and the overall cost.

Really nice little pub with open fire. Free parking in cattle market was an added bonus.

Great value. Visited this one first before their sister pub opposite. Good choice on the menu and food plentiful and tasty! Between us, we had the drunken cow burger, chicken pie, and the chicken burger. All very nice!

Excellent service bar staff very helpful nothing too much very welcoming and friendly also dog friendly was added bonus which also enjoyed the food 😀

Sunday night, before a bank holiday, they were lovely, food was amazing!

Beautiful. We stopped here after a day of exploring. The food was lovely and quick. The place is clean, it's also done out lovely too. Nice atmosphere, and I would definitely stop here again if I were around this area again.
