If you want high quality meat, frozen fish, rice, flat breads or spices (lots of spices) then you need to give them a visit. All products are of a very high quality (I regularly buy lamb leg for Sunday roasts, lamb neck for scouse or curries and whole beef ribs for stews and bbq). I also only ever buy herbs and spices from here. Why spend around £2.50 for a tiny shaker jar of paprika from places like ASDA, when you can buy half a kilo of the same spice for the same spice (and they have A LOT of different spices)! One of the reasons it's so affordable is because J B Halal sell mainly to businesses and local asian customers who use a wide variety of these products very regularly. Although this may sound obvious, please note that this store is Halal so no pork products, but there is more than enough to try, especially if you're looking to make a Middle Eastern or East Asian style recipe. I love all types of Asian food but one thing that used to always stop me from trying to make different types of curries myself, was having to buy all of the different spices required. If you go to large supermarkets, having to buy every spice required will end up costing you more than the meat and vegetables you'll end up eating. Buying everything you need from places like this will save you a fortune and leave you with enough to make many more meals in the future! Give it a go 👍🏻

I'm from London and needed halal meat the area seemed run down however needed halal meat badly as I dont fancy eating haram meat. Brought lots of lamb chops about £10 worth, the Chicken legs was massive 1/4 legs with the tigh piece and leg x5 pieces, total of the meat was £14.50, my white girlfriend said the meat works out a lot cheaper then her buying haram meat from Tesco or Haram butcher places. Also the meat tasted way better. She goes to the place by herself now and shops all our meats from here. Once tried another halal butcher shop and the cuts wasnt right so we are committed to this shop. It's definitely value for money as the quality supersedes all other places in the catchment area as we come from St Helens just to shop here.

JB is one of the best shop on Lawrence road L15 area. They sell fresh halal meat, lamb and chicken, it is a good grocery shop. A little expensive than other shopa but the stuff worth. Staff is very friendly.

Very good store, lots of vegetables here, their vegetables are very Fresh. The butchers are out class, probabley the best in Liverpool. They recently refurbished the whole shop and it look very good.

Prices are little bit more but it's okay when you watching how they treat your order like meat and chicken it's like a art of cutting really nice.
