Cracking wee local bar.not for you if you're looking for real ales, definitely for you if you're looking for a nice,friendly typical west of Scotland pub.conveniently located for the train station&vale of leven football ground.snug wee bar,has an outdoor smoking/sun area out the back.darts board for the sporting minded.a big and a wee telly,has sky sports but not tnt/bt.really helpful, attentive barmaid therefore you're not going to have trouble getting served.was unsurprisingly quite busy.if I'd a local like this it wouldn't break my heart

Really enjoyed my experience here.
Having just moved to the area this was my first visit.
I joined a larger group of friends and spent several hour there.
Atmosphere was great with friendly local people and service was very friendly and professional.
Will be returning again soon

Had the bar lady help me out when I was trying to get home with my baby on a hot day when trains got cancelled and I was waiting over an hour her and a couple customers helped me out. I was very grateful

Was travelling through Scotland with the wife for 3 weeks and stopped in Balloch for a few days to explore the area. The B&B we were staying at was just around the corner from the Laughing Fox and we stumbled across this place on our way back from the market. Walked back to the bar after dinner for a few pints and had an absolute blast. Great group of regulars that were extremely friendly and welcoming to a couple of Yanks on holiday. Can't wait for the next opportunity to stop in for a drink, on our next Scotland tour.

Friendly wee local, dartboard, singers/karaoke at the weekend, also handy for a cheeky pint if you're getting a takeaway from Cafe India nextdoor 😉

It's a place I've enjoyed going to for a couple of years now, friendly atmosphere and a variety of entertainment on. affordable too.
