Trundle Car Park

Can get very busy at weekends never mind what the weather is like.
Free parking for probably 30ish cars. Refreshment kiosk for teas and small snacks.....but the view and a stroll up to the Trundle is what most people go here for. It is quite magnificent.

Beautiful walk - especially whilst it’s so wet and muddy. Wonderful views out to the sea and inland to the downs.

Idiots spoil it for others by leaving their rubbish. What is the matter with people😡
They are smart enough to carry it up the hill but thick enough to leave it.
Don’t worry, we will clear it up!

Beautiful location with lots of options to walk and stunning views around. Car parks do get very busy. Now there is a coffe truck which is nice and is fairly priced. Would recommend.

Amazing views and easy to park but can get very busy

I really like and appreciate the views from this site. It is a very gentle walk or ride up chalk hill lane to the trundle car park but very much worth the effort. As a mountain biker it is a good area to visit. There is on certain days a converted horse box where you can buy a nice hot drink. I very much recommend this place and the surrounding woodlands as a place of beauty to come visit.

Normally wonderful views from Portsmouth to Hove, but this time it was in cloud so I went to the village store in West Dean and sat at a table with a pot of tea. Dogs allowed.

I am surprised that so many reviews are less than 5*. Great location and incredible 360’ views from the top.

This is more of a picnic spot than a walk. I would suggest, as the car park can get get full very quickly that you park on the Goodwood side and walk up.

Top Tip: You can take part on the races at Goodwood without paying the entire fee.

Amazing view point even without getting out of your car. But when you walk up to the op of the hill you will be truly amazed. You can see the sea with clear sky so as Horse Racecourse. Butlins and Chichester Harbor looks great in the distance. It also offers some lovely walk on the fresh air. One of them is going down to the village as well. I definitely recommend to check it out when you are nearby.

Beautiful views from Littlehampton to Southampton and I O W to the south and rural vews to North and great views of goodwood racecourse a must see and that's the end of the views 😁

Perfect spot for a panoramic view over Goodwood and Chichester to the Coast. You can see as far as the IOW. Good for a walk, a picnic or even lunch in the car.

Free parking

I call it St Roche's Hill so as not to confuse it with the Triangle CP on the other side of the Trundle. Two hard-surface parking areas at the end of a single track lane. Magnificent views south.

Good parking at the top of Chalk Pit Lane, free, but not an enormous parking area. On a clear day, fabulous views from well East of Bognor Regis, over Goodwood circuit, Chichester and far West. From the car park you can walk down the lane a little and use the higher view point along side the track to see even further East.

Alternatively, there is a footpath from the top corner of the car park, to climb to the very top it the Trundle with a walk around a loop seeing 360 degrees around the area including Glorious Goodwood horse track.

It feels like you can see the world from up there.

Beautiful viewpoint. Sat and watched the fireworks from the Festival of Speed after-party. Views from Worthing to Southampton at the top of the hill

Beautiful spot, views are beautiful, bring a picnic !. Viewing the stats on a clear night is stunning.
