Had a wonderful Christmas dinner at St Pio's Cafe. Beautiful food, an amazing atmosphere. Toni and Angela can't do enough for you, can't praise them enough. Will definitely be going to their next foodie evening!!
Had already tucked into the main course before I remembered to take a pic 😂

An excellent cafe serving drinks, breakfast and lunch food. Indoor and outdoor seating with very friendly staff. We ordered the fish finger butty with two coffees and it was all lovely. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic little cafe this is!! Such a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were lovely. Felt very covid safe with sanitiser stations around, masks, visors and socially distanced tables. The breakfast was gorgeous and the coffee delicious. We will definitely go back. Thank you!!

We stopped for lunch here for the simple reason that it was about half way on our journey. How glad we are that we did. Lovely people, delicious homemade food (fabulous cakes!) and very very good value. Spotlessly clean and felt very safe in the current climate. We have bookmarked to visit again in the future!

A very quirky small cafe. Where else could you serendipitously meet and converse with cheerful Franciscan friars before lunch? The food choices were adequate considering the size of the establishment and the staff that waited-on were all kind, cheerful and helpful. The food is simple well-presented and wholesome, vegan and vegetarian options are available. As this establishment is in the grounds of a monastery the cafe's wall decorations were appropriate and interesting. If you decide to try this cafe you should be patient as it took 'a while' for our food to arrive but our drinks came fairly quickly

Relax and enjoy. The staff are both friendly and open, the atmosphere is calm and safe. The coffee is excellent, the hot chocolate possibly a bit too sweet but that is still a matter of taste. Excellent service and a fine selection of cakes and small bites to eat.

This place is unique. It has an ambience which is all its own. The Welsh Rarebit is recommended - delicious. I set a couple of scenes in my book, The Amnesia Desk, here. I'll certainly be back for my next book, it's a place which leaves a lasting impression.

Wonderful - a warming home made soup followed by a Welsh Rarebit to die for were just the ticket on a miserable May day; but don't call if you want a quick bite - all the hot food is specially prepared for you and comes out piping hot - perfect!

Stopped off for breakfast, which they cooked for us outside of advertised breakfast times! Good quality and freshly cooked food in a nice atmosphere well worth the detour as far as my group was concerned.
