Attended several parties here. Great venue for a children’s/family party. Big hall. Very clean. Small car park and free parking on the street outside. Good kitchen.

The lady opening for us was very kind and helpful and explained everything very well.

I recommend if you have a children’s birthday party here; use the part of the hall with the stage, close the dividers. Set up the food in the bigger end as it’s very echoey in that side. The acoustics of the stage end are much better.

The staff's behaviour is unacceptable. While I understand that you have the right to withhold refunds if the rules are not followed, it does not give you the right to speak disrespectfully to customers who have rented the hall. Clearly needs training on how to interact with people respectfully.

Avoid hiring the hall at this church. The staff are very rude, use discriminatory comments, and will come up with excuses to withhold your deposit.

You should also stick to your own instructions, if the vendor comes over there before time (over which we have no control beyond telling them the time to reach), then ask him to wait, don't open the door to him and hope to charge extra... which we agreed to pay by the way, and yet we're subjected to condescending and remarks. There are a number of witnesses.

I am surprised that as a vicar you are condoning this behaviour rather than taking actions to prevent such occurrences.

Very unprofessional. They take the things granted and try to loot monney for silly reasons. No clear signs of sign boards .

I request the management to speak sensibly. If some rules were not followed, you guys were already taking money for that.

NOT ALL , BUT SOME PEOPLE WERE THINKING THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO SHOW ANY DISCRIMINATION OR PASSING RUDE COMMENTS ON CUSTOMERS. ONLY THOSE PEOPLE HAVE TO THINK THAT THEY WERE NOT DOING ANY CHARITY BUT A BUSINESS.

Kindly be polite to the customers and kindly don't hurt their culture/ belief and feelings. End of the day all are humans.

Giving one star as Zero is not possible. Their staff especially the behaviour of Robert is unacceptable. As per your rules , you have the full rights to not to refund if the ruled are not followed but that doesn't mean that u have the right to say anything to the people who hired the hall. Robert definitely needs some coaching on how to talk with people.

The pcc agreed that they charge extra for early checkin , In what manner it's abusing the pcc.. someone needs some education seriously

If the same continues, people will stop hiring this place.. Management/ owners, please take a note of it.

Unprofessional and Offensive Behavior

We had a very disappointing experience at St Barnabas Church on June 3rd. The staff's behavior was unprofessional and offensive. They withheld our deposit without justification and treated us rudely. We strongly advise others to avoid this venue.

Not recommended at all. The staff are extremely rude, inattentive, and inventing ridiculous reasons to withhold the deposit. They also use discriminatory language, which is deeply hurtful.

I was part of a community event last week and didn't had good experience. The staff was rude which did upset the ceremony. Hence, please think twice before booking.
