Castle Lodge Buttery

Excellent food and service here. We ordered some sandwiches, baguettes and sweet treats and it was all really lovely. The sweet treats especially were amazing!! The place is warm and clean and the staff are really lovely here and made our visit to Ludlow pleasant.

Love this place! We visit here lots of lunch outings as locals. Food never disappoints and they have a massive selection of different things for all. Cakes are to die for too! And you get a view of the castle!!

While away on holiday with family, we came in for a breakfast, food was amazing and all locally sourced, staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely come back again!
Also had some cakes to take away, so many to choose from!

Ideal cafe if you're visiting Ludlow.

Milkshakes are divine, we always have 2 or 3 each visit!!

Great meals here, hreat quality and more then u can eat! The ice cream deserts are just the same. Not a great atmosphere but its opposite the castle and centrally placed in the town
Also reasonably priced.

Delicious, I had a raspberry milkshake and my partner had a salted caramel milkshake , sausage roll and apple pie. Great service and great food/ drinks. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely stunning food! Had roast beef and oh my god 🤤 lovely service and food came out quite quick! Left with a mouth watering maltezers tiffin slice.. also set in a beautiful location with views of the castle

After walking around Ludlow seeing the ridiculous prices places want for something simple like a cheeseburger and chips averaging £17
Eventually we stopped at the castle lodge buttery
Prices were reasonable and given that after I finished my meal I could hardly move, it was very fresh, very hot, and it was the right amount.
The latte we had was very good
One thing I never understand with people is when you have 2 choices regular @ £3.20 or large @ £3.50 it should never be the regular for the sake of 30p just go large. But hey each to thier own.
Only 1 gripe would be that the person serving the food to the table should ask if you require anything else. i.e. sauces, different knife for meat perhaps,
Not that it bothered me I can get a bottle of sauce from the side but could annoy others, you know how some people are proper fussy.
But all in all I enjoyed my visit and I would definitely visit again

What a little gem! The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic, I have never had such an enormous piece of gammon! Always difficult choosing somewhere to eat when you're away, but we were extremely glad we chose here! 👍

Superb cafe/restaurant, with the best cakes I've had in years. So much So, I was losing tasters to my 'healthy option' friends.

Cute little cafe right by the castle and market. Visited for breakfast as we had stayed the night in local Travelodge. Food was excellent and priced just right.

Great small lunch. We tried the £5 lunch menu. The fish was very fresh and the portion size was small as expected but just right. Only wish other places would realise not everyone wants huge portions.
