Really good food and atmosphere service was excellent and welcoming. Staff young and very helpful, I had the chicken which was lovely spicy and lots of veg and chips.

Really lovely meal, better than expected. Most of the mains come with an array of sides – salad, potatoes, chips and veg – which makes for a very big meal if there are just two of you. I opted for the “Triple Take” combo, which was good. The dining area is very spacious, so you don’t feel like you’re on top of another tables – this is particularly unusual for a table of two, which I often find are cramped and placed wherever there’s space. Only criticism is no one came to take my payment at the table – perhaps they don’t do that here. We waited quite a while, then paid on leaving. It would have been good to know if that was the case when we arrived as it was a bit of a waste of time. That being said, the staff were very polite. Lots of parking, admittedly went on a weeknight, but practically parked by the door even though inside it was half full.

Amazing pub, beautifully decorated with pub side and more formal dining areas. Food was freshly prepared by talented kitchen staff.
Will be back for more.

Throughly enjoyed, Booking is advisable gets very busy, Me and my partner went for something different "triple take" combo were you choose 3 different dishes, also we had a side of chips, vegetables, salad which is free of charge and refillable! I would highly recommend it to all, Will definitely be returning.

Was our first time visiting here, we came on a Sunday around 1 pm. The car park was full, but we luckily got a space as someone left. The restaurant had a lovely cozy atmosphere, and the food was very good; I had the lamb roast, would recommend it. Also came with a refillable veg bowl for the whole table. Service was mostly good, although we did ask for a bottle of water for the table, but it never arrived until we asked for it again. Also, when we finished and wanted to pay, it was difficult to find anyone. Overall, I would certainly visit again and recommend.

We do come here a few times a year as it is local for our family/friends. We have never been disappointed in the food or service. It was the first time we had been offered the specials menu (perhaps when we had been before they may have been sold out) but it was nice to have something different as I do find that their menu has been very much the same and I like a surprise!! More specials please !!!

The food and service are always first class.
We visited today for a family meal, and the food was amazing (as always).
We highly recommend the "steak and kidney pie" and also the "sausage and mash".

Having a table for six at a family gathering can be awkward at times, but we were given a cosy table away from the hubbub of the main bar which was perfect.

The food arrived quickly and the service was excellent.

One word of warning, with the trend towards slimmer burgers (especially really tasty smash burgers), the Ultimate Burger here is a behemoth of a tower, with beef and chicken inside. It's almost too big to eat and could easily be shared by two people. The chicken couldn't be tasted either as the other flavours overwhelmed it.

Don't let this put you off, just be aware and enjoy 😊

I was only able to try the lunchtime menu due to the timing, but the food was absolutely fantastic. I'll be returning to try their evening menu for sure. The drinks are top-notch, as well as the service. Fast and friendly. There's no wonder why this establishment is so busy.

This restaurant never fails to deliver. Great food, good selection of beer and lovely staff. Always a friendly atmosphere that never disappoints. Been several times and everything time seems better than the last. One of those places that makes you want to book again as soon as you leave.

Had a fantastic evening, food was great, staff were all superb. The welcome was brilliant and gave our group all the info we needed for food allergies/ Gluten free etc. Would not hesitate to come back. I think you need to pre book in advance due to the demand for this place, we were staying at a nearby camp site and booked 5 weeks ahead

Having been impressed when visiting with a large party last time we booked again for 16 people. All were served quickly by such helpful, friendly staff who unobtrusively checked through the meal that all was okay. The premises are lovely & the food plentiful. I have no negative remarks for this property. We had a thoroughly enjoyable night

Went for a 5 mile walk and had dinner here this evening. The food and service were both great. Lovely atmosphere and will be visiting again.

Beautiful pub, decorated tastefully in the Christmas spirit. Our service via Daisy was second to non, lovely, polite and easy always there when needed. The food was amazing with plenty of choice in every course.

There is plenty of parking and I can Imagine it getting extremely busy particularly with passing trade in summer.

I have every intention of eating here again. Thank you for a lovely ladies at lunch occasion.

Love it here, the service is always friendly and welcoming and the food always tastes great. It's not cheap but nice for a treat once in a while.

Lovely atmosphere, nice service, great food!!

The Carnarvon helped us celebrate our small Christmas eve wedding.
We was in the glass House area which was nice and private.

The food was perfect and all our guests was happy and enjoyed what they had ordered.

We opted for the Christmas fayre menu to keep it simple which had a decent choice on it for people who didn't want an actual Christmas dinner.

The only mix up I had noticed is some people wanted custard and not cream on their puddings but it was sorted straight away with no fuss.

Our guest who haven't been to the Carnarvon before was commenting how nice the place is and want to visit again.

I would highly recommend , we got a fantastic professional services from start to finish.

The only complaint I would have is that the Christmas fayre should have came with Santa hats and crackers which was not put out.
Would have been fun for the photos.
