Travelodge Cardiff M4

Wasn't sure about staying, here because of the location.but we where pleasantly surprised. loads of parking space.on site.freindly staff.and a park and ride.it was great.hassle free,the food was great.staff very friendly. I would recommend it to everyone.

We just needed a Hotel outside of Cardiff that wasn't going to charge for rooms and parking. 25 minutes away from the City Centre was close enough to go into town and then out again. A great base for exploring the City and surrounding areas.

Great location for touring South Wales.
Surprised it was this quiet next to the M4 and a short walk to food albeit expensive services prices
Parking also free

We stayed for 10 weeks with our dogs the rooms were very clean. The staff were amazing very friendly and made our stay a happy one, we felt like one off the staff due to our long stay while waiting to buy a house.
We will book in to this Travelodge again and tell friends and family to use this one.

It was not my intention to spend 8 nights in a travelodge last week. I picked this hotel as I knew the location was great and near to the Royal glam. The staff were absolutely outstanding in helping me and my sister throughout our stay ensuring our rooms were opposite, topping up towels, drinks, etc at silly times due to us sleeping at weird times.

also when we extended our stay and shared a room they ensured we could keep one of the rooms we were in so we wouldn't have to move. They couldn't do enough for us and would always let us through if the other had the key.

Couldn’t thank the manager Donna McGuiness enough for her service and hospitality. Arrived late and had a few issues but she was happy to resolve it and go over and beyond 👍

As a car delivery company we book 100's of Travelodge rooms every year. You expect a certain level of service from 5 star hotels and a certain level from budget hotels.
Today we had a issue with one of my drivers, I spoke with Sarah at Travelodge Cardiff M4 and she has restored my faith in people.
She could not have been more helpful and provided the sort of service you would expect from a Hotel costing 10 times the amount.
I hope Travelodge appreciate the fantastic employee they have .

This is a good cheap hotel, with great facilities nearby. Bring earplugs as the road noise is a bit excessive with the windows open in the summer. Lack of plug sockets in the room, I counted three so if you are a couple with two mobile phones you may have to sacrifice having the t.v on to charge mobiles etc. Also avoid local taxi firm dragon taxis that somehow come on a recommended list. They were 40 mins late collecting us for a wedding then failed to pick us up cancelling our return taxi despite prepayment.

Quiet, comfy, lots of options for food and discount in moto when staying with the hotel... Customer service was outstanding. Joanne helped me beyond her duties yesterday and was so caring and understanding. I don't normally rate motorway hotels. But honestly I'd stay here again happily. We stayed one night. Room was clean. Beds were clean and comfty and covid regs followed... Well done team keep up the amazing work and thank you so much again. Joanne deserves a massive shout out for yesterday.

Great customer service. The rooms are clean, not spotless but for the price I paid I was overly impressed. The walk to the rooms are a bit drab with a student/military accommodation feel with tired carpet but I was happier when entering room. Had the usual with kettle, coffee, cups, tea, coffee with great comfy bed/pillows. Bedding clean and great. Cardiff was only 20 mins away and was great for a trip to Outlet Village (20mins), Swansea (40mins). Would recommend if you dont have sky high expectations.

Debra, receptionist was very attentive when my husband arrived feeling unwell. Swapped his room from upstairs to ground floor and after an hour from his arrival she checked on him and offered to check on him every hour. Really she is a customer service champion 🏆thankyou!

Nice clean room with large bed.
Bath and shower provided with shaver socket.
Large TV. Staff excellent. Shops inside, BK,Greggs,Costa, and WH Smiths which is 24 hour.
Large car park with free parking if room booked. Petrol station on site.

Could do with a tidy up on the corridors. Rooms clean and tidy. Friendly helpful staff even when you arrive at 12.exam.
No complaints. Would use again.
Plus you get 20% all the shop's.

Amazing value for money.Staff were exceptional. Travelled with a 92 yr old lady in a wheelchair. They couldnt do enough to help, and her accessible room was perfect.

It was a great location specially the local shops and the food shops.like KFC and Mcdonald shops are inside. You don't need to gooutside for food. Great services and lovely views outside. No car parking issues. 👍very close to town centre of cardif.

Stayed here when passing through on a long haul journey. Good facilities and clean room. Bed was just the right comfort and the amenities in the room were sufficient. There is a service station up the road and the shops serve from 630am.

staff were amazing my daughter and 5 year old granddaughter emergency placed for 3 days the staff couldnt do enough for them my granddaughter was taken ill on the sunday evening and washed rushed to casualty the staff allowed her to put medication in the fridge gave extra pillows to prop her up when sleeping they were supposed to be out of the room by 11am staff allowed them to stay in the room until 3pm whilst new accommodation was found outstanding service
