Brierley Forest Park

Brierley is one of our favourites as a family. The cafe serves amazing, well priced food with a good vegan range and alternative milks for hot drinks. The play park has been improved and its great for children to practice climbing and balancing. Warning it does get slippy and muddy when it gets very wet but mine love the extra mud!
Super dog friendly, though dogs must be in leads around the pond and as its quite high volume of dogs I would recommend reactive dogs stay on leads. There are quieter paths where you can walk dogs who prefer their own space.
Saturday at 9am is Park Run which we really enjoy and makes use of the parks circular route.
There are well maintained toilets open when the visitors centre is open and right by the cafe. There are also picnic benches by the play oark/cafe and down at the pond for those who wish to dine outside.

Great walk, nice little cafe that does hot and cold food at good price's.

Brilliant place, wheel chair friendly and it was a beautiful day, stopped by the cafe after our walk for lunch.

Very nice nature reserve, needs a bit more care.

There is park run every Saturday, and a lovely cafe that that runs Monday to Saturday.

Lots of parking, lovely long walk for dogs. A few ponds and fishing spots!

Lovely place to take photos and take the pets for a walk! Me and my fiancé come here sometimes to let our indoor kitties get out and about and they love it! The visitor centre and cafe is also really nice - they have lovely hot drinks! ☺

Lovely clean playground for the kids to run around. Great cafe too, with free car parking will be coming back!

Lovely place to walk with my dog. Like to sit near the bird feeding area and go for a breakfast after.

Take the grandson to feed the ducks nearly every day (Monday to Friday), also take him to play in the play area near the visitor centre, also keep an eye out for the wild deer

Excellent place for family's with kids and/or dogs.
Great for disabled with well surfaced paths and marked routes on the map.

Can't believe I never knew about this little Gem until recently. Great place for quite a few different walks. Even came across a Groot character someone had created out of logs and twigs 😁

Theres plenty of wildlife, sculpturs, water, landscapes plus trees to keep you seeing something different every time you visit.

Then there's the cafe, thought I'd gone back in time with how cheap it was 😁

Lovely cafe, outdoor playground, easy walk around, fishing lake. All well maintained. Worth the drive from Sheffield for an afternoon out ☺

Lovely place to walk. Choose long or short walks and finish up at the dog friendly cafe! Nice play and picnic area, too.

I did the park run on Saturday morning. Very good experience will be doing it again and in the summer kids can play on park and use the cafe

Fantastic place for a walk with family and friends, very scenic and clean paths with useful clear directions of routes to take

Nice place to go for a short walk... It's free parking, has a nice lake with plenty of picnic seating and a gorgeous view of Hardwick Hall!!!

Great walking and cycling trails , along with hospitable cafe offering good food and reasonable prices - worth a visit ( Dog friendly )
