Awesome service by an independent garage. Great team and all really helpful. Having been recommended It was a real pleasure to take my car to a local garage rather than normal chain dealers. The fact that my car was a Toyota was no problem and the electrical issue I had was quickly diagnosed. The team kept me up to date with progress reports and I had my car quickly back on the road after the repairs were done. Definitely recommended.!!

My windscreen washers stopped working just before Christmas and with no time to book into my usual VW dealer I popped into Protec. Mike straightaway offered to take a look and got the bonnet open, then got the laptop out to check the system faults, cleared a few and then gave his assessment.

Even though he was busy before Xmas he squeezed me in, ordered the part and fitted the next day. Really thankful he got me up and running before the Xmas motorway journeys as I'd have been guaranteed a dirty windscreen I couldn't clear!.

Yet another good experience with Protec Automotive. Full service and MOT on my Wife’s Mk6 Golf. Very professional and properly qualified V.A.G mechanic. Michael performs work to the highest standard and is far better than the main dealer, who just try to rip you off over and over again. The Golf and my A4 B9 only go to Protec now.

My sons Golf had a sound from the wheel area on the passenger side . suspected a suspension fault, Protech booked the car in for a next day appointment with a diagnosis of a bolt found embedded in the passenger tyre. The mechanics kindly put the spare wheel on to allow the car to be driven so we could get the tyre replaced. I take both of my sons vehicles to Protech for service and MOT as I get an honest service and feel we get very good service. I also prefer to support a local business instead of the big dealers.

Great team and all very helpful. Having been recommended a couple of years ago It is a real bonus to take my car to a local garage rather than normal main dealers, your treated like a person not just a registration number and the quality of work and service is second to none..

I have known Michael for many years and I would never consider taking our family or work vehicles anywhere else. His knowledge of VAG is second to none and nothing is ever too much trouble. I would always recommend him as he offers competitive pricing, an excellent service and nothing is ever too much trouble and I have posed him some challenges over the years.....

I work locally and pre christmas I got in my car to drive home (which is 30+ miles) and realised my tyre was flat. I was stuck. I rang the garage from some advice from my friend who actually is an ongoing customer there. I have forgot the mans name, but he was so helpful and came straight out to help me put my spare one on. I really am so thankful for the help and coming out and doing this for me. Really kind and even refused money to say thank you. Exceptional customer service and kindness.

I was experiencing an intermittent fault with the fuel/air mixture, to which Michael investigated and found a broken switch within the inlet manifold. Audi do not offer a repair kit for the RS4, only a complete inlet manifold at £2.3K + VAT. A little internet research discovered an American company who had made a replacement switch in aluminium, instead of the Audi plastic. The company had a UK outlet who delivered the next day at a fraction of the cost of the Audi option. Several hours of old fashioned mechanical work by Michael has restored my car back to perfect at a fraction of the cost of Audi. I cannot thank Michael enough for the excellent service he provides at a sensible price.
