The Surgery @ Aylestone

Whenever i speak with Paige, she is such a lovely lady, she is great to speak with, very kind ,helpful patient and sympathetic, and gets the job done. I would say she is an asset to the surgery. Well done paige 😊 and all the staff, they are excellent at their jobs.
I do hope the system can be improved with getting appointment via the phone, as the best way at the minute is to go down first thing, but that's no good for those that can't get down at that time of the morning or have anyone to do it for them.
But i have to say it, the practice has been very good at getting me refered quickly to various departments and been seen within a few days or couple of weeks with some services.
Generally I am very happy with the practice.
I usually see Dr Ameena and she is very good.
Billie the nurse is so lovely, kind and caring, and always gets the bloods out 😀 and is also an asset to the surgery.

Dr. Ameena is very caring I had impressed her professionalism from first I see her, she Check, consult and give me strong prescription straight away as I have severe cough and yellow mucus, now gone 4 weeks my symptoms improved but the cough still bad she set up further tests for me, I am appreciate how she concerned of the patients, unlike some GP he not bother and tell me to talking Ibuprofen.

Having been a patient of The Surgery @ Aylestone in Leicester for 15+ years, it is important to recognise excellent experiences when one receives them. Each and everyone of the members of staff, nurses and doctors at the Surgery have always been reassuring and consistently responsive to my queries as a patient. The reception staff and nurse practitioners at this GP surgery have been incredibly helpful and patient in all of my interactions with them. I had had trouble linking my GP records with my NHS app and two of the staff members who I’d spoken with on the phone - Marta and Daniella patiently walked me through the steps and helped troubleshoot until I was able to access my records. Very happy with this surgery and I congratulate them for the excellent patient experience that they provide.

I've always been given an appointment so long as I call on the day, I've been able to get a same day appointment when I've phoned as late as 10am! This is novel for me, I'm used to surgeries being fully booked by 8:20am.
I've missed telephone appointments and they're always flexible and manage to call back the same day.
Reception staff are friendly and always help when I'm having issues with my prescription at the pharmacy.
I've never experienced the kind of gatekeeper behaviour I've had to endure from previous GP receptionists. They're all very pleasant to interact with.
The doctors are so thorough in their assessments and really efficient when making referrals, and they're always happy to have face to face appointments.
I've received some of the best care whilst being a patient here and have managed to address long standing health issues.
I'm very grateful for all their hard work.

Overall, I would say that most of the doctors, nurses, and receptionists in this surgery are very nice and caring. I have recommended this place to all my family. As they do a lot of follow ups.

Most surgeries are the same, I suppose, where it is difficult to get an appointment on a strict time schedule of calling at 8 am, which is not convenient for working people. Plus 10 mins per patient is just not practical at all, as they only allow you to talk about one issue and you have to make another appointment for other issues, what a waste of time and effort, hence working people never get to sort all their issues quick enough, then end up having to go A&E, out of hours or NHS direct. All GPs should ask when booking an appointment of how many issues they have and allocate specific time for it all, not fob you off to make another appointment, which may take forever to make again.

Also, they should allow people to make appointments online as it normally takes about 80+ calls to get through in the space of half an hour, which is difficult to do while driving or being at work, plus at the end of it you sometimes they tell you that there are no appointments left for the day and to try again tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♀.

Thats my personal suggestion really, maybe it may make all surgeries reconsider their way of working.

Narinder has been absolutely fantastic with helping me manage my asthma. I’m now at a point where I am no longer waking in the night needing my inhalers and the tablets have worked fantastically since night one. Can’t thank her enough. Most appreciated.

Excellent service, had appointment for a Flu Jab and was offered a Covid booster jab at the same time, which I happily accepted. The Doctor was pleasant and efficient, be it the appointments were running 20 minutes behind schedule, thanks for the valuable service 👍🏽

Was in need of an urgent appointment in a situation whereby staff was short and there was a high volume of patients. Sophie Duggan was polite and understanding and went the extra mile to help make this happen for me. Very grateful :)

Had my flu jab on 7/10 and as always it was a very well organised clinic, in and out with no fuss. Well done!

I recently had an appointment with Narinder at Surgery @ Aylestone. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease during the whole process. Narinder was very informative and answered any questions that I needed to ask during the progress. She was extremely professional and knowledgable. Narinder has made smear tests much less daunting and I would highly recommend!

Reception are always very understanding and helpful, I have used this surgery most of life. Sophie today beyond far and beyond to help me get medical care for my 2 year old today! Genuine and lovely staff!

Very friendly and helpful staff; they inspire great confidence in the practice.
Unfortunately during one of the Saturday flu and Covid clinics they ran out of Covid vaccine but I accept it was due to circumstances beyond their control.

The staff and doctors at the surgery have been fantastic since joining in November 2018. All intitial registration transactions were quick and my wife managed to get referral to a specialist the following day. all communications and appointments were excellent and the care shown by the doctor and staff has been excellent too.

Very friendly and helpful, yes the phone queue can be frustrating, but I called at 8am and got a telephone appointment for the same day and an appointment for the next day to come in and have bloods and ECG and blood pressure. Hopefully the swift service continues so they can find out what's wrong with me.

Two excellent Staff ! Billie who has been looking after my heath for many years now...gave me my season flu jab ~1255 Sat 25 Sep 2021 ! Samantha whom i understand has organized the efficient patient flow...both friendly efficient Staff. It is the quality of these NHS personnel (et al), that are an asset to the Surgery and wider NHS. Keep up the excellent work...may they continue to do so for many years to come. The current government needs to stop wasting money on the HS2 white elephant and divert it to provide maximum support and improve the NHS for the good health of the nation...with genuine transparency !

Today..Saturday 25th , l attend for my Flu vaccine.
From booking in for my appointment on line to getting the vaccine today....Thank you to everyone for the excellent streamline system and attention & care l received.
