The Nook Fish & Chips

Really lovely staff, very friendly. The food was excellent. The chips were really dry and crisp. Generous portions. We are not from around here but would highly recommend this place.

Living in Spain we rarely get the chance to eat fish and chips in the car, even though we own a fish and chip restaurant. Last night we had lovely grub in the car with steamy windows. It's lovely to be welcomed by a team who clearly enjoy working together and who went out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. Thanks everyone, we'll be back when we're next in town.

Simply outstanding quality - and quantity is, in my opinion, excessive!
When I was a lad (and not that long ago) a cone of chips was 30p and enough for a quick lunch - a cone & ‘mini’ fish was almost too for dinner!
I can see why people travel far and wide to the Nook, it was the best fish & chips I have had in years.

If you like fish from the chippy this is the place for you. Always freshly cooked to order so the batter is always nice and crispy when you get it home.

After moving to Leicester in February I have struggled to find a good fish & chip shop and I stumbled on these a couple of weeks ago when my parents were visiting. After a few visits now I can honestly say this is probably one of the best chip shops I have ever visited. The food is cooked to perfection their fish is Absolutely gorgeous service is made with a smile and very polite .. this is a definite must for any fish and chip lover 👌🏼

A busy fish and chip shop clearly showing it's popularity but well founded by the quality of the food and the fish cooked to order and specification as you walk through the door. Can't fault, just delicious....yummy

I've been back to The Nook a few times now. Best fish and chips I've had in the county. Cod is thick and flaky, amazing, best eaten open to enjoy the crispy batter. Made to order aswell, so nice and fresh, well worth the wait.

Thought would try different chippy rather than the usual and must say wasn’t disappointed! Fish was perfect and so were the chips! Great friendly service, New favourite chippy! Well done guys

Great fish and chips. Did a large order 26 portions. All staff lovely and helpful. Food beautifully fresh and many comments on how great they were.

I drive past here everyday and decided to stop and try it out. Glad we did! Fish Cooked fresh when entering and everything we had was really nice. Will be back again soon.

Very busy chippy as The Victory Show is this weekend. The guys in the shop were superb, very quick, and the food was excellent.

Best chippy around, absolutely fab chips and they do fish without batter 😁. The curry sauce is also very good. I would highly recommend this chippy.
