Caerphilly Mountain

Easy to access and easy to walk, but view is wonderful

Lovely calm place to visit. Not a long walk from the car park. Could easily do a bbq.

Great little walk around the mountain then up to the top. Some really good views across the Bristol channel on clear days.

Beautiful views and a lovely place for the dogs to run around. Wear your walking boots, as it can be very muddy!

Great place for a walk with a few, not too challenging routes around the hill. The mountain overlooks Caerphilly; from its top you can see the Caerphilly Castle as well as a better part of the town. When the sky is clear you can also see Cardiff Bay from here, as well as hills around Newport.

I've visited Caerphilly Mountain a few times and for different reasons but it's a lovely area to pop to for a quick stroll (10 mins from carpark to trig point) or a point to head for on a longer walk or bike ride... What is ALWAYS the best is the food at the Snack Bar. Massive portions of good food!!

Lovley place to walk the dog and just enjoy the views of Caerphilly. It's absolutely beautiful. No rubbish of fly tipping and it's often pretty quiet! Perfect for nervous dogs ❤

The short walk to the top is rewarded with good views to the north and south on a clear day.

The wooded areas west through Fforest fawr and Coed Y Werin eastward bound help to make it a good place to start a longer trek if desired.

Ample parking, easy trail. Stunning views.
