What an amazing place! Beautiful property with stunning views. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant and there was just such a lovely friendly feel to the hotel. Very dog friendly too. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both were super, with locally sourced products. Bar had a good choice of gins and was very reasonably priced as well It’s always a good sign to see a hotel being used by locals. A definite must for a visit.

Attended the Tapas Night on 27th October 2023.
Food was fantastic and service was great.
Was like being back in Spain but better.
Would high recommend Mellington Hall and always worth a visit.

Follow Mr & Mrs R on TikTok. This is a fabulous location, to get away from it all. It’s a beautiful building, loads here to keep you busy. Very dog friendly.

Quality of the food, was excellent along with the smiling and helpful staff. It’s just a shame that the house looks expensive to maintain and unfortunately our room was tired, and needed to be cleaned more throughly. Overall definitely recommend.

Had an exceptional afternoon tea here after a bracing day out in the valleys. Staff couldn't be more helpful and the food was top notch.

What a beautiful place to stay! We arrived at the end of a very busy day after having travelled for what seemed like hours and were greeted with this amazing house and a warm welcome from staff. The entrance hall and dining areas were really warm and just what you want when you need to relax. Dogs are made very welcome and added to the ‘family home’ feel of the Hall. Our twin room was light and airy with the most amazing high ceilings and a very pleasant view.
Food was very nice and there was plenty of it - it’s good to note that they use free range chicken and do not charge extortionate prices for it!
We will certainly be back to stay and look forward to another relaxing and welcoming stay.

We booked Mellington Hall on a whim through a booking site for a last minute stay with my sister and her children, we didn't really know much about it. We felt as if we found an absolute hidden gem. When travelling with the children some places can feel stuffy and like they are not welcome, but from the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Not only for the adults but for the 4 and 8 year old too. Afternoon tea was so good, and the children's afternoon teas were a wonderful touch. One of the children fell asleep at the time of our dinner booking and they brought our meals up to the room which we thought was just incredible (you wouldn't get that in a chain!). One of the things that we all loved was that the food was locally sourced and obviously home made - in a very good way. We stayed in a family suite and the room really did feel like staying in a manor house with sweeping views out of a huge gothic window. The kids thought we were staying in castle. Breakfast was brilliant and again the children were catered for with kindness. Thank you to all the staff. We loved it so much we have booked to return again in June.

February 2023 we decided on a cousins meet up so booked afternoon tea omg you didn't disappoint loads of sandwiches and lovely cakes and scones. It felt very relaxed and we were made to feel very welcome by all the team. We booked for 1pm and left at 7 a lot of talking done putting the world to rights. Very warm certainly do this again. Well what can I say, Mellington Hall was perfect from start to finish. My husband and I came for lunch and loved it so much we booked to stay the night. The food was amazing and the staff were incredible. They couldn't do enough for us. We would like to thank Jane for making our room beautiful and Dawn for accommodating us after a little mix up with the booking. The chef was a delight and the food was perfect. Thank you all for a lovely weekend and making us feel so welcome. My husband was refreshed and ready to continue his travels on the offas dyke path. We can't wait to come back. Best wishes, Kayleigh and Mark.

Fantastic setting and a wonderful stately home venue. Staff were extremely nice and professional and very accommodating to our late check-in and early breakfast request. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Can’t ask for much more. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay over Friday and Saturday nights this Easter weekend. The hall is so characterful and the staff are really friendly and helpful (especially Dawn) The owners can't do enough for you and should be proud of Mellington. We stayed in a newly renovated room overlooking the back gardens and it was lovely. Food is excellent so much that we ate both nights in the restaurant. Set in beautiful grounds which we walked around with our dog as the hotel is very very dog friendly. Like our own Downton abbey weekend !!! Would highly recommend and will stay again for definite. Thanks to everyone. Mel and Ste (and Flossie) x

Lovely place. Worth a visit anytime of year. Sit in front of the fire in the main hall in the winter or sit in the gardens during the summer

A significant stately home, this caters mostly for the camp site adjacent.
It is worth a visit to see some of the Arts and Crafts decoration.
The rooms are renovated to a high standard, with lashings of hot water available.
The food menu was basic, so I chose burgers and chips. This I think was a mistake. The food exceeded expectations and when I go back, I will order steak.
The beers are a weak point; mostly keg larger, although the Guinness was fine.

We went here for a Sunday lunch. Had a Vegan Nut Roast which was tasty and a beautifully light Chocolate Brownie. Gorgeous hotel with a real fire too.

Mellington Hall has a very special place in my heart. Mum and Dad ( both sadly passed 😢 ) had a caravan at Mellington and I was fortunate enough to spend countless times and hours there. Its lost a slight appeal personally as they have now fitted some street lighting on expanded the site but it's still a stunning and very peaceful place. The food in the Hall is very good

Thank you to Mellington Hall Country House Hotel & Holiday Home Park. A group of us visited last night. We hadn’t seen each other for over 2 years. The majority of the group hadn’t been before and were very impressed. It was lovely to have our own room with big table and comfy sofas where we could sit and catch up. The meal was excellent and the service was brilliant. Thanks once again.
