A bought my sons first bike here and they were all the most helpful and friendly people you could meet. The bike shop itself is stocked to the brim with all bikes different shapes and sizes for all ages. The coffee shop itself has the most delicious cakes to enjoy with a coffee. Just getting over the Saddle sore from a charity bike ride Liverpool to Leeds 2 weeks ago. Bike broke down on the way. Popped into these guys to be get it fixed. Absolutely spot on service. Got me back on the ride no problem. Wouldn’t take a penny for the repair. I can’t thank these lads anymore. Donated spare inner tubes and kit also. 100 million percent I would recommend these guys. Some good people in this world and this shop is full of them 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Good customer service from Jack Parker cycles and great to gave such a knowledgeably, friendly and efficient bike mechanic so near by. I had read lots of reviews so was confident taking my bike in. I had a brake bleed, gear cable rewire and new bar tape fitted 👍 all done quickly. Thanks very much 😊 and my bike is much better for it 🙏☺👌

I love this shop. It s a 'Real bike shop' they remember you when you come in, they are fast, friendly and always make sure everything is just right!

This is a local cycle shop to myself. After looking for couple of weeks for a second hand mountain bike I called to Jack Parker’s and spoke with Dave. He showed me some bikes and was not pushy, very knowledgable. I ended up buying a brand new bike at a great saving, service was superb!! I cannot recommend them enough as nothing g appears too much trouble. Even a free service as it’s new after a time period, if you want a new or second hand bike, please give them a try. What a fantastic experience walking into Jack parkers today, spoken to Barry a few days before on the phone who was very polite and helpful and invited me for a chat. Came down and met dave also a great guy very friendly and chilled. Atmosphere was great in the shop no pressure or awkwardness. Cannot fault Barry he is a top fella went above and beyond and I mean literally insisted on helping and making sure everything was set up correctly (smart trainer) which was free of charge including delivery. Reassured me that any problems to not hesitate to contact and always here if I need help. I'm very new to cycling but one thing I can guarantee is I will be staying loyal to this local business. 20/10 recommend

I have used Jack Parker cycles for many years, buying (and selling) children's bikes as my children grew through the years, not to mention my own bike. I am just a leisure cyclist with a mountain bike so often it can be a while between my visits but they always remember me and say hello if they happen to be outside the shop when I pass, plus they will always go above and beyond to help with any requests and repairs. It is just good traditional shop service and I would highly recommend them to anyone, even if they cannot help they will point you in the right direction to get what you need, that is not something you see very often in todays society!

A fantastic experience buying a bike from Jack Parker Cycles. Barry is top of his game and was able to provide all the answers to my queries and advised about sizing, weights, frames, gearing and a whole host of specifications I simply hadn’t even considered.
The end result is that I am now the proud owner of a bespoke bike that has been built specifically for me.
I cant rate them highly enough and would thoroughly recommend anyone to have a chat with them if you want independent professional guidance when buying a bike.

Excellent service.
Bearing went in rear hub when I was 15 miles from home. Called into the shop on spec to see what, if anything, could be done. Barry lent me one of his spare wheels so I could finish my ride. Then yesterday evening he brought my repaired wheel to me at home. All for £30. I was expecting at least twice that amount.
Service far beyond what we normally expect to receive, and excellent value for money.

What a superb bike shop. Barry the owner is very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. His advice is excellent and his work is quick, efficient and of a high standard. He will seek to actually repair components if possible rather than replace with expensive new parts.
In this climate of homogenised corporate business it is refreshing to have a genuine, honest local bike shop in the town.

Barry has done so many fiddly little jobs for me when I have either not had the right tools or the knowledge to sort out myself, in most cases when I have tried to fix something and failed. He has put whole group sets on, indexed brakes properly, stopped squeeling disc brakes and many other things. He has just used his straightener to straighten my Ribble rear derailleur hanger which is now great and fitted and sorted the spacing on an 11 speed free Hub which is now smooth. The shop prices are very reasonable and Barry will always try to give you options for your budget. The shop also has a good stock of various bikes for different needs.

Broken spoke on back wheel on Saturday morning 25 miles from home in Parbold, wheel wouldn't turn. A chap came and collected me (and my mate), took us to the shop and repaired my back wheel all in less than an hour and at a great price. Chaps in the shop were brilliant, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Absolute first rate service, I recommend Jack Parker cycles for your next repair, service or purchase, thanks guys.

Myself and my Dad decided to do a lengthy bike ride for charity requiring a lot of training, buying appropriate bikes, and tailoring their set up to suit our needs. We had an intermediate knowledge of bikes but not enough. Over a period of many months, Barry and the team at Jack Parker Cycles offered fantastic levels of technical support and advice. We dropped in many times with questions and they were always as helpful as possible, highly knowledgeable, and were happy to patiently explain the mechanics of the bikes to us. They recommend suitable parts which would help us out, as well as carrying out any practical work we needed. One of the friendliest and most honest bike shops I’ve ever been to, I would thoroughly recommend.

Visited Jack Parker Cycles this week with a tall order for a fixed budget, thinking it might not be possible. Barry got straight on it and sorted me three bikes bang on budget. Took my 3 speed Puch bike here to be fixed. I was given a free quick fix to try which was great, but unfortunately not enough, so we moved to replacing the rear wheel. I was expecting to have to pay more than my bike was worth, but actually the prices for parts and labour were really competitive. There was also a problem with replacing my cotter pins that had come stuck but fortunately these were sorted - and at no extra charge. Amazing service, keep up the great work!!
