This pub was opposite my guest house, so having a drink and strolling back to the guest house was great. Luckily this is a very nice pub. It has a good choice of real ale and nice find for the good lady. I didn't get to try out the food but as it went past me on it's way to the happy customers, it did look very good.

Visited on a wet and windy Sunday at around 4pm, not a lot of people, but that means plenty of parking. The service was fantastic, and all staff very friendly. Portion sizes were great, very filling. We had fish and chips, the fish had a lovely light batter and didn't taste overly oily. The chips were super fluffy and warm on the inside while maintaining a crispy outer shell. Even after the filling mains we decided to share desserts between the three of us. The lemon pie was delicious, not too sweet and not too tart. The chocolate cake was not dry and served warm, was not too heavy either.

Lovely pub, we had a very friendly welcome. We were shown to a table then ordered drinks and food. Our drinks were brought to the table for us and after a short wait our food arrived. The portions were generous and tasted delicious. This was pub food done really well. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this pub highly. Will definitely visit again x

Pint of Robinsons Wizard, exceptional. Burger n chips, not bad at all. Sticky toffee pudding, fair size and very good! Not bad prices at all either. No hesitation in going again and will try the other ales/beers next time with less food 😁

Ate here twice whilst staying in the area. The roast seemed bottomless and was gorgeous. The second meal was just as delicious. Lovely welcoming staff. I'd definitely go back if ever in the area.

Arrived just as a coach load of people were leaving. After a quick clean up we managed to get a table for 6.
Food was really good, fresh and well cooked and served piping hot. Prices were reasonable as well.

Lovely pub, great cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food at a very reasonable price, well worth finding and definitely on my list of places to go again. Excellent variety of food, between the four of us we had soup (10/10) and roll (also 10/10), egg and chips, pizza made to choice, and scampi and chips. The soup in particular was a gastronomical delight!

All the bad reviews are wrong! This pub is the best pub in the whole of the uk and that’s coming from and Englishman, The staff are very kind and helpful especially Hayley who went out above and beyond to help us out today!

The food we ordered was lovely.

The staff and the local community are lovely people and every one climbing Snowdon should defiantly pop In and have a pint, you will not regret it

I just want to say a massive thankyou to everyone involved in finding my keys today, I couldnt thank you all enough.

Fantastic, cosy pub with a great atmosphere and excellent food - with generous portions to boot. Well worth a visit whether you've spent a day in the mountains, or just want a meal with friend and family.

Beautiful proper cooked food, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Wednesday evening we were there and locals gathered to play their music, not a performance but people who love playing. Sit by the fire and listen. Well worth a visit

Discovered by random navigation, possibly the best pub we have discovered this year. Excellent food, both choice and quality, and a superb pint of ale. 5 stars. Will be back.

In Response to Will Williams lousy spineless review.
Let’s clarify a few things , you haven’t been in for a couple of years because you failed to notice our opening hours and wanted to us to stay open whilst you got totally drunk as per your usual behaviour and was fuming because the landlady called last orders. So that was then.!
Now onto last night, you arrived 1 hour and 15 mins late for your table clearly already been drinking elsewhere , we kept the restaurant open as you were local. We served you all the meals which as you repeatedly told us we’re lovely , even your wife came up to me at the end and thanked me for lovely food.
We ran out of 50ps in the till at nearly 11pm , as we don’t do our banking until weds we had no more. £8 worth would normally easily do on a winters Tuesday night. The landlady didn’t walk off you put your £5 back in your wallet and walked off when you were told we had no more 50ps. Cctv can prove this, I’ll post if you require?. The landlady even asked the local farmers if they had any for you but they didn’t.
I think you may need help with your drinking , if you can’t understand basic things and react in a childish way via reviews. First your son last night on trip advisor now you today on google.
Thirdly my wife is not a wharthog , Typical childish remarks which other reviewers will clearly read into.
Unfortunately people like you need to learn how to behave in public, and not have a tantrum because of alcohol infused inability to understand that we had no 50ps left in the building..!
